In this article, we have provided our Fantasy Premier League tips & predictions ahead of Gameweek 24 of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.
Gameweek 24 is the first gameweek where FPL managers could choose to play the new Assistant Manager chip. The chip could offer a lot of extra points should it be played correctly, and the next couple of gameweeks provide an ideal opportunity to utilise it with a handful of teams set to play an extra number of games.
Nonetheless, here are our latest FPL tips that should hopefully help make all of those informed transfer, chip and captaincy decisions needed ahead of the deadline…
Our Fantasy Premier League tips
FPL gives out points based on player performances, which can be both positive and negative. It can range from a player scoring a goal (positions are given more points than others, for example a defender will gain six points for scoring a goal as opposed to four for a forward) or being shown a yellow card (-1pt), as well as many other metrics.
Who to have as FPL captain
In Gameweek 24, if you own him, Salah is perhaps the most viable captaincy option given his irresistible form for Liverpool so far this season, and the fact that the Reds have two matches to play in both AFC Bournemouth and the originally postponed Merseyside derby against bitter local rivals Everton away from home.
However, for those who do not own Salah or want to pick a differential captain, Cody Gakpo (£7.6m) could also be a viable option given Liverpool's two fixtures.
Selection | Market-best price |
---|---|
Cody Gakpo to score anytime (vs Bournemouth) |

Cody Gakpo to score first (vs Bournemouth) |

Should the triple-captain chip be used?
Assuming that Salah is the most viable captain choice in Gameweek 24, using the triple-captain chip on him seems very tempting given the big FPL hauls that we know that he is capable of, added to the fact that Liverpool play twice in the same gameweek.
We would always advise, if it has not been used already, to use the chip in a double gameweek, where teams play more than one fixture and therefore give more of a chance of a big points haul for the captain, and Salah could well take advantage of that in Gameweek 24 as Liverpool play both Bournemouth and Everton away from home.
Who is likely to get booked?
Some FPL managers may be tempted to bring in a number of Liverpool and/or Everton players into their teams as they both play twice in Gameweek 24. Dominik Szoboszlai (£6.3m) could well be one of them given his attacking potential, but managers should be warned that the Hungary international midfielder has already been shown a total of six yellow cards by various officials so far in the 2024/25 campaign, among the highest for all players in the Premier League.
Market-best odds on Dominik Szoboszlai to be booked (vs Bournemouth): 5/1
Which defender is most likely to score?
Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m) always has a chance of scoring from a direct free-kick or from open play given how often he bombs forward for Liverpool from right-back. The England international defender gets to play twice in Gameweek 24, which means that he has huge points potential.
Market-best odds on Trent Alexander-Arnold to score anytime (vs Bournemouth): 17/2
Our top three cheap in-form players
Iliman Ndiaye
Iliman Ndiaye (£5.5m) is probably the best pick for an Everton forward given that Englishman Dominic Calvert-Lewin has picked up an injury that will rule him out of both of the Toffees' upcoming matches. Yes, David Moyes' team face a tricky test against current Premier League leaders Liverpool at Goodison Park, but before that game, they host a relegation-threatened Leicester City side.
Ibrahima Konate
Ibrahima Konate (£5.2m) provides a cheaper way into Liverpool's defence, and of course will have two games to potentially earn a big points haul. The French central defender even managed to provide an assist in his last outing in the Premier League, as the Reds beat lowly Ipswich Town 4-1 at Anfield.
Vitalii Mykolenko
Vitlalii Mykolenko (£4.4m) offers a cheap route into the Everton defence, who are usually very resolute and stubborn as shown by their 1-0 victory against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League last time out. As well as earning points for clean sheets, Mykolenko also offers a fair amount of attacking threat from the left-back position, which gives even more potential routes to points.
