In this article, we have provided our Fantasy Premier League tips & predictions ahead of Gameweek 15 of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.

There is yet another quick turnaround in FPL after a full set of Premier League fixtures in midweek, as we now look forward to this weekend's games. Here are our latest FPL tips that should hopefully help make all of those informed decisions…

Our Fantasy Premier League tips

FPL gives out points based on player performances, which can be both positive and negative. It can range from a player scoring a goal (positions are given more points than others, for example a defender will gain six points for scoring a goal as opposed to four for a forward) or being shown a yellow card (-1pt), as well as many other metrics.

Who to have as FPL captain

In Gameweek 15, if you own him, Mohamed Salah seems like an obvious captain choice, given his sparkling form for Liverpool which has now seen him score in no fewer than seven matches in a row in the Premier League. A potentially tricky Merseyside derby away at Everton awaits in the dreaded 12:30 lunchtime kick-off on Saturday though, so FPL managers may be tempted to go for a different pick.

For those who do not own Salah or want to pick a differential captain, Erling Haaland could also be a viable option, with Manchester City travelling to relegation-threatened Crystal Palace off the back of a confidence-boosting 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium in midweek.

Should the triple-captain chip be used?

Assuming that Salah is the most viable captain choice in Gameweek 15, using the triple-captain chip on him could seem tempting given his recent form, and the fact that Everton are struggling near the bottom of the table in the Premier League.

However, we would advise, if it has not been used already, to use the chip in a double gameweek, where teams play more than one fixture and therefore give more of a chance of a big points haul for the captain.

Who is likely to get booked?

Fabian Schar would have caught the eye of some FPL managers after his late equaliser earned Newcastle United a 3-3 draw against Premier League leaders Liverpool at St. James' Park in midweek. However, the Swiss central defender is currently on four yellow cards, and just one more would see him serve a one-game suspension.

Market-best odds on Fabian Schar to be booked: 13/5

Which defender is most likely to score?

Arsenal defenders simply cannot be ignored at the moment given their goal threat from set-pieces. Two of them were on the scoresheet in midweek as Mikel Arteta's men beat Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium, with one being attacking full-back Jurrien Timber.

Market-best odds on Jurrien Timber to score anytime: 14/1

Our top three cheap in-form players

Yoane Wissa

Brentford are a completely different animal at home than they are away, and Yoane Wissa (£6.2m) has collected an impressive 31 FPL points over his last three home fixtures. Newcastle will not be an easy opponent for the Bees this weekend, but Wissa is still a strong long-term pick.

Evanilson

Similar to Wissa but in terms of away form, Evanilson (£6.1m) is also a decent pick for a forward spot this weekend. With 28 FPL points across his previous three away fixtures and a trip to struggling Ipswich Town coming up next, the Brazilian striker will be confident that he can haul once again.

Kaoru Mitoma

Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£7.7m) is the most-sold player by FPL managers ahead of Gameweek 15, and so they will need another mid-priced midfielder in the game to jump to. They should look no further than Brighton and Hove Albion man Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m), who has a relatively kind set of fixtures coming up on paper, and has scored a handy total of 21 FPL points over the last three gameweeks.
