Fantasy Premier League tips & predictions Gameweek 11

In this article, we have provided our Fantasy Premier League tips & predictions ahead of Gameweek 11 of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.

Premier League football is back this weekend, as FPL managers stress over making transfers, playing chips and deciding who to captain for Gameweek 11. Here are our latest FPL tips that should hopefully help make all of those informed decisions…

Our Fantasy Premier League tips

FPL gives out points based on player performances, which can be both positive and negative. It can range from a player scoring a goal (positions are given more points than others, for example a defender will gain six points for scoring a goal as opposed to four for a forward) or being shown a yellow card (-1pt), as well as many other metrics.

Who to have as FPL captain

In Gameweek 11, if you own him, Mohamed Salah seems like the most obvious captain choice, with Liverpool hosting Aston Villa at Anfield off the back of an impressive 4-0 win at home to reigning Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) in midweek, while the visitors shipped four goals away to Tottenham Hotspur in a 4-1 defeat in the Premier League last time out.

However, for those FPL managers who do not own Salah or want to pick a cheaper differential captain, Son Heung-min could also be a viable option as Spurs host an Ipswich Town side that are yet to claim a victory in the English top flight so far in the 2024/25 campaign, and have conceded the second-most goals in the division (21) in their opening 10 matches.

Should the triple-captain chip be used?

Assuming that Salah is the most viable captain choice in Gameweek 11, using the triple-captain chip on him does not seem a smart choice given that Villa should still provide a stern test for Liverpool, having shown their credentials in the 2023/24 campaign by qualifying for the UCL. We would advise, if it has not been used already, to use the chip in a double gameweek, where teams play more than one fixture and therefore give more of a chance of a big points haul for the captain.

Who is likely to get booked?

Antoine Semenyo is a popular player in FPL, with the AFC Bournemouth midfielder rather generously priced at just £5.6m at the time of writing. Off the back of an impressive 2-0 win against reigning Premier League champions Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium, the temptation may be there to bring in the Cherries talisman, but FPL managers should be warned that he is on a total of four yellow cards, and just one more would see him face a one-game suspension.

Market-best odds on Antoine Semenyo to be booked: 11/4

Which defender is most likely to score?

Rayan Ait-Nouri is labelled as a defender in the FPL game, but he often bombs forward from wing-back and gets himself into some very attacking positions. Indeed, the Algeria international is tied with City's Josko Gvardiol in terms of goals scored by defenders so far in the 2024/25 campaign with three each, but just be warned that like Semenyo, he too is also on four yellow cards, and only one more against Southampton at Molineux this weekend would see him serve a one-match suspension.

Market-best odds on Rayan Ait-Nouri to score anytime: 6/1

Our top three cheap in-form players

Evanilson

Evanilson has scored three goals and made one assist in his last five appearances in total in the English top flight, including netting for Bournemouth in their victory over City last time out. Priced at just £5.9m and with some relatively kind set of fixtures on paper coming up for the Cherries, the Brazilian striker could well turn out to be a nice differential for FPL teams.

Milos Kerkez

Another Bournemouth player, but after a 10-pointer against City and priced at just £4.4m in FPL, Milos Kerkez simply cannot be ignored. The defender is given the licence to support attacks by his manager Andoni Iraola, and after supplying two assists last time out, Kerkez will no doubt be hungry for more returns as the Cherries travel to a wounded Brentford side off the back of conceding two late goals and ultimately losing their West London derby 2-1 away to Fulham in the previous gameweek.

Jorgen Strand Larsen

Another relatively cheap striker features in our top three cheap in-form players ahead of this weekend's Premier League features in Jorgen Strand Larsen. The Wolves man is priced at a mere £5.6m in FPL, having scored a total of three times in the last four gameweeks.
