Espanyol v Girona
Espanyol begin the new year the way they ended the old one – with a Catalan derby.
Having battled to a 1-1 draw with Barcelona on December 31, they are now targeting a first win in seven La Liga matches to ease their relegation worries.
The hosts are just a point outside the drop zone, not helped by a leaky defence that has kept only one clean sheet in 11, while newly-promoted Girona are four points above in 12th place.
Girona are unbeaten in five but their games haven't been short of goals, with their last 12 all seeing both teams score. Same again – chalked up at 16-19 by SBK – is not to be sniffed at.
Fortuna Sittard v Go Ahead Eagles
Dutch minnows Go Ahead Eagles are aiming to extend their remarkable unbeaten run to 10 matches when they head to Sittard.
Having begun the season with five straight Eredivise defeats, Go Ahead haven't lost since and now sit level with the hosts, four points above the drop zone.
Fortuna's last outing saw them edge a five-goal thriller at Groningen and they return from the winter break looking to find more consistency.
While Fortuna have drawn a blank in their last two at home, Go Ahead are on a five-match streak of btts and have conceded in nine straight away games. Back both teams to oblige at 4-6 with Bet365.
Cercle Brugge v Westerlo
Westerlo are no stranger to goals – they have conceded six and scored six in the last few months and signed off 2022 by sharing six goals at home to Antwerp.
That made it three matches unbeaten for Westerlo, while Cercle Brugge's run without defeat currently stands at seven games and includes five wins.
On home soil, Cercle's last four outings have delivered over 2.5 goals with both teams scoring, and an entertaining contest beckons between two sides separated by just a point in the top half. Go for both to score at 8-11 with SBK.
