European BTTS Tips: French goals forecast for 7/2 treble

Lens vs PSG  (Saturday, 16:00)

Lens will lock horns with Paris-Saint Germain in Ligue 1 on Saturday afternoon.

Will Still’s side will head into matchday 18 occupying seventh place in the table following last week’s 2-1 win away at Le Havre. 

As for PSG, they will look to strengthen their hold on top spot after edging past St Etienne with a 2-1 win last week.

While Luis Enrique’s side are seven points clear at the top of the table, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in 12 of their 17 league games this season.

That defensive vulnerability has coincided with both teams scoring in 12 of the capital club’s 17 Ligue 1 matches this season, including six of their eight away games. 

BTTS has also landed in four of Lens’ last seven top flight fixtures, so a repeat looks worth getting on board with at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. 

St Etienne v Nantes (Sunday, 14:00)

St Etienne and Nantes square off in a huge game at the bottom of Ligue 1 on Sunday afternoon.

The home team find themselves in the relegation playoff position after losing 2-1 away at PSG last weekend.

Meanwhile, Nantes are just one place above their hosts following back-to-back draws with both Lille and Monaco.

Despite both teams being in a precarious position in the league table, there have been no shortage of goals in the pair’s recent matches.

There have been goals at both ends in each of St Etienne's last three games in Ligue 1.

Both teams have also contributed to the scoring in 12 of Nantes’ 17 league games this season, including four of their last five.  

Marseille vs Strasbourg (Sunday, 19:45)

Marseille will look to extend their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 to seven matches when they host Strasbourg on Sunday night. 

Roberto De Zerbi’s second-placed side have hit the ground running since the winter break with wins over Le Havre and Rennes.

It’s the same story for Strasbourg who have beaten both Auxerre and Toulouse to move up to ninth place.

These two teams have been among the great entertainers in France this season, so there should be no shortage of thrills at the Velodrome on Sunday night.

Both teams have scored in six of Marseille’s eight Ligue 1 home games this season.

That trend looks set to continue when they take on a Strasbourg team that have delivered a BTTS  in winner seven of their nine away games this season.
