IT'S probably one of the worst cards of this season but English League Two should deliver us another NAP winner in the form of goals at Salford vs Crawley.
The Scottish Cup has decimated the card in Scotland and with the some of the English Premier League on their winter holidays it's a much reduced card with not too much standing out.
French Ligue 2 did the business again last night to land 18+ and 20+ total goals and with a bit of luck we would have enjoyed first-half goals and over 1.5 goals winners with both 7 out of 8 (Sochaux missed pen was a sore one for punters for 24-1 over 1.5 goals winner).
Sticking with total goals theme on Saturday but I would advise caution to anyone betting on the Scottish games, keep stakes small as we are going to be battered by 50-60 mph winds.
I'm on an all day session to Ayr to watch our Scottish Cup game, fingers crossed it doesn't get called off. If it does, a day in the pub it is.
Selectabet, Slipstips and I have given our thoughts on this weekend's matches on this week's Gambla Betting Podcast, give it a listen.
Salford City vs Crawley Town (KO 3pm)
Despite the tough looking card, this looks like a cracking match for goals between two sides who cant't defend but have no problem scoring.
Salford are in good shape coming into this with just one defeat in 7 – 8 of their last 10 games have seen over 2.5 goals with 8 of those games seeing both sides score.
At home 5 of their last 6 have also see at least three goals but worryingly for them they've kept just 2 clean sheets in 14 home games.
Crawley likewise are in fine shape with just one loss in and have scored 11 goals in their last 5 games. 9 of their last 10 matches have seen both sides with 7 going over 2.5 goals.
They can thank striker Ollie Palmer for their recent upturn in form as he has 7 goals in his last 5 games, taking him to 14 for the season.
Like Salford, Crawley keep very few clean sheets and in fact both sides have scored in 11 of their last 12 away matches (15 out of 17 for the season on the road).
Two sides in fine fettle seeing plenty of goals and its worth taking on here.
Recommended Bet:
- Over 2.5 goals
- 17/20 (William Hill) (NAP)
English League 2 Total Goals – 12 Matches 3pm
This has landed quite comfortably on the last two occasions and with Sky Bet again offering a bit of leeway by setting markets low in my opinion at 31+ at 4/5.
Recommended Bet:
- 31+ goals to be scored
- 4/5 (Skybet)
First-half goals and over 1.5 goals also worth s small flutter at huge odds of 80/1 and 33/1.
Scottish Cup Double
Two bets from the Scottish Cup – keep stakes low as the weather is going to be a big factor this weekend.
Ayr vs St Johnstone (Saturday 3pm)
- Under 3.5 goals
BSC Glasgow v Hibs (Sunday 12pm)
- Hibs over 2.5 goals
- Double pays 1/1 (bet365)
weather not too bad in Ayr just now..just back in from an easy paced 8 mile bimble from Prestwick to Ayr and return…headwind could be a bit of a battle tho if wind picks up as expected… have a good day in my home town…
