CELTIC are out of the Europa League but for many punters they have been this season's “go-to team”.
All five of their Group A games have gone over 2.5 goals and in all five matches both teams have netted.
Unfortunately for Celtic giving away cheap goals has been a constant and despite playing in spells they've given away some cheap goals. Boss Ronny Deila came out yesterday and claimed his side wouldn't have conceded eight to Real Madrid in the way Malmo did.
It was of course the Swedes who knocked Celtic out in the play-off round – so does Deila mean his side wouldn't have let in eight but might have lost by 9 or 10. Depends if Efe Ambrose was up against Cristiano Ronaldo I suppose.
Another sorry season in Europe ends for the Hoops tonight with a visit to Istanbul. It's not quite fortress Fenerbahce but it's difficult to see anything but a home win. The Turks need a point to go through with Molde and could top the table if the Norwegians lose away to Ajax.
Fenerbahce are a best 2-5 at McBookie to win tonight with Celtic 8-1 at bet365 and the draw 17-4.
The Hoops have let in at least two in each of their five Europa League ties and Fenerbahce to score 2+ pays 4-9 with William Hill and Ladbrokes.
Celtic have scored in 16 of their last 19 Europa League games and there is every chance they’ll be on target again especially if Kris Commons is fit enough to start. Their only blanks came against Inter Milan with 10 men and Atletico Madrid (twice).
A Celtic goals returns 9-13 at 888sport and both teams to score pays 10-11. Over 2.5 goals is 8-13 at Paddy Power.
Ajax have won their last four in all competitions, scoring 14 times, and are 4-9 at McBookie to improve
on their 1-1 draw in Molde. Consider Ajax to score 2+ at 4-9 with Ladbrokes.
