IT looks like my Super Singles will end the month in profit but the accumulators need some serious turning round.

I said Reading were overpriced and shouldn't have been underdogs at home to Norwich so that was a nice 3.8pts profit on the SS.

On the accas I felt robbed. Fleetwood beat the Top Treble as they were held 0-0 by a Bury side who had lost 12 in a row.

And my 9-1 homes fivefold was downed at the death when Gillingham equalised at Peterborough. As I've said before – such small margins.

Maybe I should have stuck with the big guns – in my English preview I advised an Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United treble at 7-5 with Man City added to make it 2-1. But as I said savvy punters know when to back the big guns and for me it's all about finding value.

Greg picked two winners out of three and Jordan's only tip was a success. Desmond's main bet was a Doncaster goal short.

We go from a huge Boxing Day card to a much more compact one on Tuesday and I've posted a separate preview on the two Scottish games – Aberdeen v Hamilton and Hearts v Kilmarnock.

Liverpool are a best 1-3 with firms such as Marathonbet at home to Stoke in the Premier League and you have to fancy Brighton and Derby at home to QPR and Birmingham respectively in the English Championship. The double pays 9-5 at bet365.

There are a couple of games in the bottom half of the Belgium league – Genk v Gent and St Truiden v Standard Liege – but not much else to look at and while Brighton were in my thoughts I had a few things to do this morning so didn't want to put them on the top tips 10 minutes or so before kick-off. There is a preview post on the English games too.

With the Super Singles total doing well I'm taking a chance on Hearts and both to score. After starting without a win in his first three games it's time for Ian Cathro to get off the mark and this is his best chance yet.

Hearts played well for an hour at Dundee before leaking three goals from 2-0 up so while I believe they can win there is every chance they'll concede too.

My Top Treble could have been Brighton, Derby and Aberdeen but it's Derby, Aberdeen and both to score at St Truiden v Standard Liege. I'm no Belgian football expert but from what I've read goals are expected from two strugglers. St Truiden beat Gent 3-1 last time out and have netted in their last four while Standard have scored in seven of eight away matches.

Goal each half in the Brighton&Derby games@5/2

  2. HullShaker 7 years ago

    Evening gents,

Well done all with winners yesterday…great shout with Reading Mr F – the Fleetwood vs. Bury caught me out too and it wasn’t the best of days in general with more losses than wins.

Always good to watch some live football and I enjoyed the Hull vs. Man City game but in all honesty, City were no great shakes at all with only KDB showing signs of class throughout.

Even with Aguero back, they are not a team to be feared and if you took out the crispness of passing and speed to break, there wasn’t much between the two sides – though having just seen the highlights on MOTD, that wasn’t evident.

Hull themselves played a surprisingly positive game in the flesh; they played with a team approach, defended well, were organised and weren’t phased when dealing with City’s superior players BUT…!

The Tigers have nothing up front and I fear that will be the one overriding factor that sees them go down – apart from hold the ball up and wait for non-existent support to arrive, they just will not score…sad but inevitable.

Bit of a wretched card for Tuesday but having scoured the UK leagues, I’ve put together two selections to make up a goals-based double that looks well worth a go!

    BRIGHTON VS. QPR (12.30 KO):

Brighton are having a decent time of late unlike QPR and have scored a minimum of 2 goals in 5 of their last 7 home games.

Add the current form of each side and consider that Brighton have scored 4,2,2 team goals in their last 3 H2Hs and I really like the look of Brighton Over 1.5 TGS.

BUCKLEY TOWN VS. PRESTATYN TOWN (14.30 KO):

An obscure choice but unfamiliarity shouldn’t automatically rule out games – I’m beginning to find my way around the Welsh Leagues after a couple of season’s study but our resident expert Elvis Parsley may well shed more info on this one!

Prestatyn are killing off the opposition in their own domestic feeder league and are well clear at the top with a g/d over double that of their nearest rival.

They visit lowly Buckley Town tomorrow, and I can find nothing to suggest a low scorer judging by the data available…

In fact, the sides most recent 5 H2Hs have seen: 4-3-5-8-5 collective goals whilst Prestatyn themselves have scored: 3-3-2-2-3-10-4-2-3-1-8 team goals in their last 11!

Limited markets thus far* and for the purpose of the double, I’ll take the 3/10 for Over 2.5 MGS.

(*will certainly be having a nosey closer to kick off tomorow and see what prices look like for 4 or more/team goals)

    So:

    BRIGHTON OVER 1.5 TGS
BUCKLEY V PRESTATYN OVER 2.5 MGS

    DOUBLE PAYS 1.24/1
    ????

Best of luck with all bets ?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Watched the game too and it’s clear to me how badly Aguero is missed.
Hull played well but I think we all felt the goal would come.

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Highlight of the game was the young kid they picked out of crowd for ‘Crossbar Challenge’ at half-time…one shot and he absolutely nailed it ?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

As long his prize wasn’t a weekend in Hull!

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

      Even better Mr F…

      Commentator: What’s your name?

      Kid: Tyler

Commentator: So Tyler, if you hit the crossbar you’ll get a Hull City replica shirt as 1st prize.

Crowd: Woooohhhhh (with the odd ‘Allam out’/’F*cking cheapskates’ thrown in)

Commentator: What did you get from Father Christmas yesterday then Tyler?

      Tyler: A Hull City shirt.

Crowd: Collective 23,454 people pissing their sides.

      …its grim up North ?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

That’s brilliant. Will be on ebay already.

    • elvis parsley 7 years ago

Prestatyn are doing remarkably well given they could be wound up at anytime pending a winding up order for unpaid taxes, but that’s another matter.
They beat their only serious rivals caernarfon recently to open a 9 point lead at the top.
Caernarfon recently won 3-1 at out of sorts Buckley so this form line suggests prestatyn should at least match that result.
And all 9 Buckley home league games have seen Btts with some heavy scoring taking place, so for me prestatyn Btts and win looks good or Btts and over 2.5 3.5 etc.

The Seasiders will attempt to win their 10th game in a row when they visit Globe Way next today. Following their recent 3-2 win over champions Caernarfon another 3 points will , at the very least, maintain the 9 point gap at the top of the Huws Gray Alliance.

The full squad trained on Tuesday and there are no injuries or suspensions to hinder manager Neil Gibson’s selection process.

Buckley will be smarting from a 3-0 reverse at Denbigh last Friday and will be determined to ensure that Prestatyn need to be at their best to get anything from the match.

Popping these up before hitting the hay as I’ve got a busy day ahead tomorrow.

Derby Win and U4.5 Match Goals @ 10/11 (Betfair)

Derby and Brighton will likely both be popular tomorrow. Derby aren’t prolific scorers so I think the above represents good value on them to win without there being a goal fest.

Add: St Truiden O0.5 Team Goals

    Double @ 17/10 (Betfair)

  4. williams1993 7 years ago

A double that I’m on tomorrow:

Derby v QPR; goal to be scored after 71st minute; and,

Ospreys v Scarlets (rugby U) Ospreys over 19 team points

    Around 2.3

We’re now approaching the time of the season where you can lump on huge favourites. Last year I won £40K+ using a method. I will be doing a £100 to £10K bank build starting in January for anybody who’s interested??? I only advise that it will take you patience if you do and there won’t always be a bet everyday or weekend that there’s games, this is all about betting on the right games. This is the first time I’ve ever communicated on a forum so be nice please :) & lets make a whole of money and bring the bookies down ha

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

If you can make that work everyone will be interested.

    • nazalus 7 years ago

Im in double chance.Look forward to it.Let 2017 be a good year with no arguements ( myself included, ive been prone to bite now & again lol )….Happy times ahead ?????

    • double chance 7 years ago

Thank you so much for the support Mrfixit & Nazalus. I’ve never been apart of a forum before, I normally work in silence.
I’m definitely looking forward to showing you guys what I’ve got. I plan to start January 7th.
The first bet will be on
      January 7th

      PSG (to win) v Bastia

      Juventus (to win) v Bologna

      Let’s make a whole lot of money 2017 :)

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

There are thousands like you. As I’ve said before 99 per cent of members have never commented.
      Good luck with the bets.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Well done to HullShaker todand and let’s hope Liverpool get another goal for him.
My Top Treble can be covered – no to both to score at St Truiden is 23-20 with Marathonbet but I’m letting it run.
Off to the pub to watch the second half of Liverpool-Stoke.

    • nazalus 7 years ago

Just enquiring DC,will you be giving your tips in hours or days in advance ? Dont want to miss out ?

    • double chance 7 years ago

No problem Nazalus. I tend to already know what the next two bets are going to be. However, on some occasions news like a player being injured in training, certain players not playing or bad weather conditions tend to make me sit out games & not bet on them. So to answer your question I will 90% of the time announce at least the day/night before. When it gets to the higher figures like for example £4000 on one team to win, I may take the opportunity to wait for the line up if it’s just one team but you will be notified well in advance that this is what I’m waiting for and then you can look out for my green signal to go ahead. Does that sound okay? :)

    • nazalus 7 years ago

Thanks for reply DC,sorry for my late reply back ?

  7. nathanufton 7 years ago

Its 4am in Derby, still not took my meds but I will be on hand with team news at 2pm.

Derby’s only blip in the last 8 games was away to Fulham where we dragged ourselves somehow back into a game that from a neutrals perspective was a nailed on Fulham win. From a Derby fans perspective it was a point gained rather than 2 lost. I’d of moaned pre-match if I thought Derby were expecting to get just 1 point, but after the 90 minutes, I’ll be honest – we were lucky to notch twice and limp away with a point. We looked like we were always on the back foot and Fulham’s consistent attacking caused Derby some problems. We started to gain a foothold in the match late on in the 1st half and Ince – who was due a goal, got the opener for the rams. It was on the back of 35 mins of one way traffic and the sucker punch came just before halftime with a Fulham equaliser. They deserved it.
They then took the lead not long after the break and after late attacking changes, Derby clawed back the equaliser in the 75th.

Derby face a Birmingham side that has just shown the door to Gary Rowett ( former Derby player and past Burton manager ). Birmingham were in a mess when he took them over, no money and a bit rudderless. New owners – goodbye Rowett – not even a dog shit sandwich for leaving them in 10th spot. Hardly a failure given how close the middle of the league is.
Derby have not thumped anybody yet this season, we put 3 past Rotherham when it should of easily of been double that but apart from that, we are keeping clean sheets.
We’ve kept 6 cleansheets in our last 6 home matches which has seen 5x wins to nil and a 0-0 with Brentford. Only FC Copenhagen and Kaiserslautern have equalled that tally in the main leagues.

Derby could be a bit stuck in the mud BUT we’ve had no games since Fulham so as long as we’ve not been caning the Christmas booze, we should be excellent value for al three points. That pays 8/11 with bet365. The price has got a bit bigger from around 13/20 a week ago.
Derby are more than capable of covering a -1 straight handicap at 15/8, but if they concede one, Derby will have to notch 3 times to land the bet. If stats is your thing and you have faith in the Derby back 4 which is more workman like than of recent years then Derby win/Btts No pays 8/5 with the same bookie.

I would either go with the straight win personally, but if you must have a dabble on the cleansheet win, split your stake.

Good tipping mrfixit with the Reading win, red card changed the game for me at 1-1 as Norwich were then having their best spell of the game, not sure where we go from here now tbh, can’t even see us reaching play offs and losing 2 midfielders yesterday just adds to the negatives currently going on, advised two bets for this game which were both teams to score and Oliveria to score anytime, hope someone managed to get on as both bets landed.

    Bet for today will be
Liverpool to win and over 2.5 goals
    Brighton win
    Standard Liege game btts
    7-2 with skybet

  12. sean567 7 years ago

    Melbourne city v Perth
    City over 6.5 corners
    City -1 Asian
    Under 5.5 match cards
    5.5/1

    Liverpool
    Derby
    Brighton
    Aberdeen
    3.58/1

    Both priced at bet 365

Does anyone else find it strange that when the bookies are on the verge of being smashed out the park, that the team it seems most of the country are waiting on inevitably fail?? ??

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Newcastle didn’t lose because it would have beaten the bookies – doesn’t work like that.
I actually had a bad feeling about them and left them out of all my lines.
It’s not the first time they’ve flopped at home this season and won’t be the last.
And anyway Sheffield Wednesday are a decent side on a decent run.

    • sean567 7 years ago

I know mr f like most people I knew I was waiting on them for a small fortune. Seen lines of up to 2k bust. I was rather sore when I wrote this. Feel a bit better now that my 4 fold will be coming in as I backed it as a £40 accer and a £300 lucky 15

    Derby v Birmingham

If you said two months ago Derby will be in touching distance of the playoffs come the end of 2016 you’d have been laughed – Steve McLaren has done a terrific job since taking over / they are looking to mms it 7 clean sheets on the spin at home! They are scoring goals and I’d expect them to find the net twice here! All clean sheets must come to an end and Birmingham are more than capable of nicking one! 10 of the last 12 meetings between these two sides have ended over 2.5 goals! Taking that to be 11 from 13

Been a good day so far and don’t want to tempt fate but the more I look at Liverpool’s game, the more I fancy a few goals for The Reds.

The stats speak for themselves and haven’t time for much reasoning but suffice to say Stoke conceded 3 in their last away game so even if ‘the team bus is parked’ I don’t think it will be enough to stop a rampant Lallana and Co. with the former playing out of his skin and looking great value for a goal.

    Two selections to consider:

    LIVERPOOL OVER 2.5 TGS…6/5

    LALLANA ATGS…13/8

    Best of luck ?

    • theboss 7 years ago

      Hope so @hullshaker

      Gone for 3-1 & 4-1 correct score. 12/ and 16/1

Stoke do have the Welsh Xavi so I think they will net one and with Crouch starting and our terrible set piece defending very likely Stoke will score. But just hope we score more ?

Sorry I couldn’t be around for my pre-match team news – it’s a sleep thing.

Anyway, my main tip on the Derby game came in for the straight win @8/11 and those who chose to split their stakes and drop half onto a win to nil would of seen that 8/5 component come in too.

  53. nickb 7 years ago

Need Hearts for 8 fold (horses and footy acca). Pays £550.

Are they at full strength? home form looks decent enough but recent form has been a bit scratchy.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thinking a chunk on the draw and covering the away win?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Wasn’t around to advise you on Hearts but was confident they’d win and had to go full strength.

    Origi ATGS Lost

    Tomorrow
    Melbourne Victory > 2.5 TGS 4/5
    Berisha 2+ 7/4
Hopefully Victory can get a few against a Mariners side at the bottom of the A League and on the back of 3 straight losses – especially after their derby win against Melbourne City. Berisha has 5 in the last 3 games and has the added motivation of breaking the all time scoring record if he nets. Too short for 1 goal and I don’t like FGS so will take a punt on him scoring twice …

You must be somewhere I’ve not been.
Gone all over Ayrshire the last six or seven years with the Bankies and enjoyed every day out – even Auchinleck when we knocked them out the cup and the home fans decided to stone us on our way out of town.

  67. GregBrowning 7 years ago

    Evening gents

What a day for the favourites

Aberdeen, Derby, Brighton and Hearts will have made up a lot of trebles and 4 folds – Well Done to those who were involved

Tomorrow see’s SPL action and I’ll be at McDiarmid to watch the famous Perth St Johnstone entertain an improved rangers side

St Johnstone v Rangers KO 7.45pm

This is a really tough test for Mark Warburtons men but there are 3 or 4 things that’s stand out that are making me bet with my head here rather than my Heart

    1) We have the second best away record in the Legaue, but we have dropped so many points at home
To teams below us and struggling! 16 of our 27 points come away – just 11 at home! Other than a 3-0 win against ICT we collected just 1 point from matches against teams fighting at the bottom of the table ( Kilmarnock, Thistle and county All beat us and we managed just a draw against Mothwrwell!

    2) Rangers are on a really good run at the moment, waghorn is back in the team and scoring and they’ll be backed by 5000 away fans ( sold out) which must give them a boost when both ends are full of Rangers fans! And one thing you can gaurentee is we won’t keep a clean sheet

    3) Murray Davidson has been outstanding for us this season, he’s the engine room and the ball winner in our midfield but is suspended for this match

We are too inconsistent, are struggling to perform at home and are missing one of our best players – that coupled with Rangers improving over the last few
    weeks I think they will
edge us out – I wouldn’t be surprised if this finished 1-2

Back Rangers 1/1 (William Hill) (NAP)

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

I’ve taken the opinion Rangers will be more focused on Saturday’s game with Celtic.
I might be wrong but I think you can get a point with both to score the best bet.

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Cheers Greg/Mr F – smashing info…was just umming and arring over this and BTTS’ chances as part of a double…mind made up now!

      SOUTHAMPTON VS. SPURS:

The Saints have a fairly solid home record but without Claise – lost to a groin injury – they won’t be as solid as they could be/have been and I expect Spurs to exploit this on Pottechino’s return to St Mary’s.

Pushing for that top 4 spot means Spurs are hardly likely to want to settle for just a point and will want to make sure they seal the deal so a couple of goals is well on the cards.

      SPURS OVER 1.5 TGS…13/8
      ???

      ‘GERS VS. ST JOHNSTONE BTTS…4/5
      ???

      DOUBLE PAYS…3.72/1

Best of luck with all bets ?
