Tuesday, McDiarmid Park, 7.45, live on Sky Sports 1

IT was a big night in for last night's Chelsea v Man City showdown and it's followed by SPL action from Perth tonight.

After an explosive start I didn't think the clash at Stamford Bridge was the best with both sides seemingly settling for a draw until City were reduced to 10 men.

And I'm not expecting too much from an SPL clash that has unders written all over it.

The last seven meetings between the sides have been under 2.5 goals and a repeat tonight pays 4-6 at Betfred.

Aberdeen have netted just four goals and picked up two points away from home this season but Saints looked powderpuff without strikers Fran Sandaza and Cillian Sheridan as they crashed 3-0 at home to Motherwell at the weekend.

The former will be back to lead the line and is 15-2 at boylesports to open the scoring.

Saints are a biggest 5-4 with bet365 and William Hill while the draw pays 12-5 at Betfred. Aberdeen are 11-4 with Ladbrokes.

It's likely to be a cold and windy night in Perth so a fixture that's produced just five goals in five meetings could be short on quality and if forced to pick a winner I'd side with Saints. However, a low-scoring draw wouldn't be a surprise and it was 0-0 when they met at the start of the season.

Three of the last five goals scored in this fixture been OGs and another tonight pays 8-1 with Hills.

Recommendation

Under 2.5 goals

(4-6, Betfred)
