Sky Sports 1, tonight, 7pm
I'M not going to start tipping darts matches because I'm no expert but I know there are a lot of fans on the site geting excited about the first round of Premier League ties tonight.
Coral are the new official betting partner of the PDC Premier League and the action gets underway in Belfast’s Odyssey Arena tonight.
To celebrate their sponsorship Coral have informed us they are offering top price on every player in the outright betting.
Sixteen-time world champion Phil Taylor is 9-4 favourite but although he usually cruises through to the semi-final stage he isn't a guaranteed winner.
World Championship runner-up Michael van Gerwen is second favourite at 7-2 with Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld next best in the betting at 9-1 and 10-1.
If any of tonight's matches are won with a 100 plus checkout Coral will refund losing pre-match win singles up to £100.
Taylor faces Van Gerwen in week one and the other ties tonight are Hamilton v Thornton, Wade v Newton, Van Barneveld v Anderson and Whitlock v Lewis.
Outrights (Coral): 9-4 Phil Taylor, 7-2 Michael van Gerwen, 9-1 Adrian Lewis, 10-1 Raymond Van Barneveld, 10-1 Simon Whitlock, 14-1 Gary Anderson, 18-1 James Wade, 25-1 Andy Hamilton, 25-1 Wes Newton, 33-1 Robert Thornton.
I wouldn’t look to the world cup as a guide to who’s playing well. Most darts players are rhythm players an you can’t get a rhythm in doubles.

On the High street only !
Milesey.
Whitlock 12/1 BETFAIR ;) ;)

Milesey, is that right? Not on the net? Anyway I’ve read the debate going on here about the darts. My feeling is that form isn’t that important, it’s about the player’s ability and temperament. I’ve witnessed the atmosphere first hand in Glasgow and it’s mental so I feel the player who performs best on the night and handles the pressure and the crowd will win his tie, no matter how they performed in the World Cup.
Corals are never better then anyone online, always poor, better then anyone on the high street for the long list they do at weekends, worst on the high street for goals goals coupons, best you find on there is an 8/13, where as ladbrokes give you 4/5, 10/11.
That’s right the form off the weekend has nothing to do with what happens on the night. It’s a quick fire shootout, taylor is normally a slow starter in any game, but always has the ability to come back. If Lewis comes out guns blazing i can’t see whitlock beating him, but it’s an if, Whitlock gets a lead, Lewis will just give up, and start the chat he always does when things don’t go his way….. I’ve been priveleged to witness the premier league too, it’s a great night, would highly recommend it to anyone !
Milesey
Milesey, it’s a great night although not for the liver!

Darren G, Cheeky Number, I haven’t given any tips for tonight, just some info, but there are some good thoughts up here. As I said Racing Post have gone big on Ando tonight and to win and that surprised me a little. Right, heading to the office for my last late shift for 10 days or so. Will keep an eye on the darts when it starts.
Goin to have some of that treb but adding the hammer to make it a 4 fold.

How yer nags to today Milesey?…never seen nuthin. Had a bit of a strange day…daughters birthday n faither in law died. :-/
An okay day today nice profit, 3 winners and a 2nd in a lucky 15, 3 big lumps all coming in for myself, ANNIE POWER, BUSSA and glove on hand.
Milesey
Nice one! ;-) see if ya can get us a few 2moro bud
Certainly didnt touch Taylor…reason was Van Gerwen was out for revenge and being “the man of the moment” it was always going to be tough. I went for the draw plus Big Barney BUT Lewis let me down for my treble :-( he can be inconsistant so ilbe betting with caution when it comes to him.
Remember we got VIP Entry after the darts In Edinburgh a while back, met most the players and had a good chat with Claasen, shocked at what he did tho…he was such a talent. Anyways always a great night at the darts :-)
Paul just reading comments on attending darts at the bigger venues. The BDO Scottish Open is being held at The Normandy Hotel Renfrew 17th – 19th Feb and having looked through their entry list, most of the top players are attending as it’s a ranking tournament. Been the last few years and you can get up close to watch matches.
Boaby, that should be a good event. I’ve been to the darts a couple of times and it’s a good night although I’ve never remembered much about it.
