THE nap experiment continues after a mainly successful night betting on Irish football. St Pat's -2 was the most popular suggestion and that came up easily as they beat Ballinamallard 5-0.

I picked three of the best-backed tips and of the other two Bohemians won but Glentoran lost 2-1 to Glenavon at home despite scoring first.

Most of the comments I read were informative and sensible and tonight I'm trying the same attempt to beat the bookies by focusing on English Conference Premier.

There are nine matches including Alfreton who are very short at home to Hyde, leaders Luton at Cambridge, Forest Green at home to Salisbury, Grimsby v Hereford and Nuneaton at home to Tamworth.

So if you are an expert on this league, a fan of any of the clubs playing or simply have an educated view on any of the games comment at the end of this article.

Keep this thread only for Conference Premier matches and I'll look to put up some top tips after reviewing them before kick-off time.

My Conference NAP for tomorrow is Kidderminster to score 2 or more at home to Macclesfield.

They’ve scored at least 2 in 12 of their 16 home matches this season and come up against a Macclesfield team who’ve tightened up recently, but are still vulnerable at the back and have conceded 2 or more in half their away matches this season.

    It pays 10/11

It came in on Saturday so i’m going with Over 3.5 goals in the Alfreton v Hyde game, small stakes though as i’m on a losing streak at the moment :-)

If I can put my NAP on here considering it’s one league below in the Conference North.

This may be a biased view but I’ve gotta go win Altrincham to win against Harrogate. We’ve won 3 games in a row, were at home where we’ve only lost twice this season and were trying to push for automatic promotion with winning the couple of games we have in hand over the top three. We’ve also got all our players fit and the manager ‘should’ play our best two strikers.

Altrincham to win is evens @ betway

I quite enjoy betting on the Conference Premier, and there are a few games I like the look of. I would in no way call myself an expert, so take these tips with care, but here are my thoughts.

    Nuneaton v Tamworth

Both teams have scored in all three meetings between these sides. Nuneaton won their only home game out of those three, whereas Tamworth won one of their home games and the other game was a draw. Nuneaton are fighting for promotion and have won 10 out of 18 of their home games. Tamworth are deep in a fight to prevent relegation, and got a good win against an Aldershot side who are really struggling at the moment. They have lost 10 of their 15 away games though, and I can see that being 11 from 16 after today.

Top Tip: Nuneaton Win (17/20 – William Hill)
Other Bets: BTTS (10/11 – Coral)

    Forest Green v Salisbury

Both these teams are coming off good results but this game is a good home record versus a poor away record. Forest Green have won 11 of their 16 home games, whereas Salisbury have lost 11 of their 17 away games. Forest Green have won the last 3 games between these sides, and Salisbury have lost 5 out of their last 6 aways, so I like the look of a Forest Green Win. They’ve also scored at least 3 goals in 5 out of their last 7 home games.

Top Tip: Forest Green Win (7/10 – William Hill, Coral) – NB
Other Tips: Forest Green Over 2.5 Goals (12/5 – Coral), BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals (11/10 – Bet365)

    Alfreton Town v Hyde

I think Alfreton should win this game but at odds of 1/3 I wouldn’t be taking a single on it. Alfreton Win and Over 2.5 Goals is 7/10 which is better, but seeing as both teams have scored in the last three meetings i’ll be taking Alfreton Town win and BTTS

Top Tip: Alfreton Town Win and BTTS (15/8 – Coral)

    Grimsby v Hereford

Grimsby have a bit of a false position in the league as they have played 3/4 games less than the sides above them and are only 5 points off third place. Hereford are without a win in 7 and while Grimsby aren’t on the best run of form (1 win in 7), their 3 home games in that run were 1 win and 2 draws. They have a good record in this fixture. The home win is a bit short, and hereford have conceded atleast 2 goals in 5 of their last 6, so I prefer Grimsby Over 1.5 Goals.

    Top Tip: Grimsby Over 1.5 Goals (4/5 – 888sport)

    Aldershot v Chester

Aldershot have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 10 home games with both teams scoring in 8 of those. 6 of Chester’s last 7 games have seen both score (last game finished 1-0. I can’t call a winner in this game, but I can see goals.

    Top Tip: BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals (11/10 – Bet365) – NAP

    Best of luck

A braver me would go for Grimsby over 2.5 team goals at 12/5 but I’m gonna go for Grimsby clean sheet at evens, against a poor Hereford side who have only scored twice in there last 5 games even forgiving them the Luton result and 7-0 takes some forgiving, there last 4 being against teams around them in the league ( see Raal I’m listening lol)

Alfreton very strong at home, reading all the reports and forums should have comfortably beaten Lincoln Saturday but missed loads of chances before a late sucker punch cost them.against a porous Hyde side I am ta1lking Alfreton minus 1 at 10-11

Being a Luton fan although missing the influential Gutteridge for this match we looked a bit toothless in midfield against sialsbury but it was a tight small pitch I see a different game today bigger pitch lots of away support and cambridge having to win this to have any slim chance of promotion could play into our hands Luton havnt conceded in over 500 mins but I feel we will today so over 2.5 goals is an option but my bet would be Luton win andre gray to score anytime worth a fiver
