The curtain came down on the regular Bundesliga season on Saturday, as well as the race to finish as the top goalscorer in the division.
Let's take a look at the final standings in the goalscorer charts.
Bundesliga top scorers
Harry Kane
After finally winning the first trophy of his career earlier this month in the shape of the Bundesliga title, Harry Kane has since ended the season as the league's top goalscorer.
The Bayern Munich ace finished comfortably out in front at the top of the Bundesliga goalscoring charts, racking up his 26th league goal of the season against Hoffenheim on Saturday.
That means Kane now boasts a truly remarkable goal return of 62 goals across his overall 63 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern Munich since making the move to Germany in the summer of 2023. If Kane sticks around for another season in the Bundesliga, then he will almost certainly start as the ante-post favourite for top goalscorer honours next term.
Serhou Guirassy
Serhou Guirassy ended the season in blistering form, spearheading Borussia Dortmund’s late surge to secure Champions League qualification. The BVB forward banged in his 21st league goal of the season against Holstein Kiel last time out.
If Guirassy can carry his superb end-of-season form into the next campaign, then he could be one to keep an eye on in the top goalscorer market.
Patrick Schick
Patrick Schick bagged a brace on the final day of the Bundesliga season, meaning that he placed joint-second in the top goalscorer market. The Bayer Leverkusen striker has enjoyed an impressive second half of the season, striking 16 times across his final 20 appearances.
With Leverkusen set to embark on a new era next season without Real Madrid bound Xabi Alonso, Schick will be a key figure for whoever the new incoming boss turns out to be at the Bay Arena.
Jonathan Burkardt
Jonathan Burkardt enjoyed a brilliant season for Mainz, scoring 18 goals across his 29 Bundesliga appearances. The German forward's goals went a long way to securing Mainz a place in next season's Europa Conference League.
Whether or not Burkardt will be around for that European adventure remains to be seen, as his form this season has seen him linked with a big-money move to the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United.
Our Bundesliga top scorer prediction
While the bookmakers have not yet priced up the odds for next season's top goalscorer, it will be hard to look past Kane when they do become available. The England skipper's Bundesliga strike rate has been nothing short of phenomenal, and he is unlikely to show any signs of slowing down next season, especially now that he has had a taste of silverware.
