WE are now approaching match day 5 in the Belarusian Premier league, in what is one of the last remaining surviving leagues in world football.
I've been watching the league closely during the opening rounds of fixtures and with 4 weeks worth of results and data, I felt now was the right time to have a detailed look into the league, especially on cards and corners , both of which are in absolute abundance (the same can't be said for goals).
I've pulled together a complete view of each teams corner and cards stats and will maintain this as the season progresses and it should provide some terrific pointers in terms of which sides are likely to have high card counts, and which sides deliver a high number of corners (and which clubs don't).
Selectabet and I also recorded a special Belarusian Gambla Betting Podcast where we review the League and provide you with a starters guide to the Republic of Belarus on and off the football field. We really enjoyed recording it and hope you can take some good pointers from it from a betting perspective.
Using the data that I've collected, its gives us an early indication and whilst 4 weeks worth of data is a really small sample, the data should be used to inform and give you an idea of the early trends that are taking place in a league were corners and cards are plentiful and goals are at a premium.
Match day 5's eight fixtures are spread out over today, Friday and Saturday and I have looked at a number of matches for cards and corners, starting with todays two fixtures
Energetyk BGU vs Gorodeya (KO 3.30pm)
New boys Energetic have taken to the Premier League like a fish water having picked up three wins from their opening four league matches which see's them lead the way at the top at this early stage on the season.
One doing my analysis on this league, one thing is for sure, they aren't afraid to stick the boot in with 14 yellows and one red card picked up already which is incredible and see them average 4 team cards per match.
They also lead the way in match corners with 11.3 corners per match, and interestingly they are delivering just over 5 and conceding 6 and with home advantage I fancy them to be on the front foot.
They have a really young side and that youthful over exuberance could be a good reason for their terrible disciplinary record.
Recommended Bets:
- Energetyk to score / Energetyk 4+ corners / 40+ Match bookings
- 10/11 (Skybet)
- Energetyk 30+ total cards
- 10/11 (Skybet)
Dinamo Minsk vs Neman Grodno (KO 5.30pm)
Not much between the two sides but a much that stands out for corners the home side. The capital side are averaging just under 7 team corners per game which a is a terrific start and with them landing 6+ corners in 3 of their 4 games I feel there's a good chance of them delivering 6+ again.
Grodno have yet top play any of the season early pace setters and face a tough task in the capital.
Recommended Bet:
- Dinamo Minsk 6+ Corners
- 10/11 (Skybet)
