Best Australian Open betting tips for day 11
Jannik Sinner vs Alex de Minaur over 3.5 sets @ 4/6
Sinner has dominated this matchup for its entirety. De Minaur has never beaten the Italian in nine tries. In fact, he has actually won only two sets against him in all of those matches, and it mostly comes down to the world No. 1 being the more dominant player from the baseline.
The Australian lacks weapons to trouble Sinner too much, but there is a time for everything, and we think it’s time for him to finally win a set again. He’s at home and he’s been playing really inspired tennis in the past few weeks.
Sinner has also shown a decent amount of vulnerability this year, losing a couple of sets already. He also has some physical issues that might or might not bother him. All the ingredients are there.
Svitolina to win a set @ 3/6
Elina Svitolina has beaten Madison Keys twice in the five matches they’ve played. It’s been three years since they played, but there are ways for her to frustrate Keys. Mostly, it’s her tenacity from the baseline and extending points longer than they need to be. Keys is the streakiest player known to man.
At her best, she’s a Grand Slam champion, while on her bad days, she can barely keep the ball in play. We’re going to bank on the likelihood of Keys regressing to the mean a little bit, which should allow Svitolina to win a set if not the match overall.
Shelton vs Sonego over 3.5 sets @ 3/6
These two have played two matches so far, and each of those matches featured both players winning at least a set. If that happens again, then the over on this line will happen, and we’re pretty bullish on that coming to fruition.
Both have shown a decent level so far at the event, and both are quite streaky in nature, which contributes to this being an even more likely outcome. Also, it’s the quarter-final, so expect some nerves from both, which should make the momentum swing more wildly than usual.
