NORMALLY on a Saturday afternoon I'll be watching Clydebank but wasn't tempted by today's friendly at Cambuslang so instead turned my attention to picking a European treble.

I quite fancy Paris St Germain to beat Bordeaux in the Trophee de Champions that launched the new French season.

It's a big campaign for new boss Laurent Blanc but I'm not sure how much emphasis he's putting on this encounter in Gabon. For both sides it will be about getting ready for the league campaign and PSG will be without star signings Edinson Cavani and Marquinhos while winger Jeremy Menez is injured.

Cheick Diabate, who netted a double for Bordeaux in their French Cup Final win against Evian, is injured and the likes of Julien Faubert, Diego Rolan and Henrique are also out.

The absence add up to a bit of uncertainty and while PSG are 8-13 at Titanbet I'm starting the treble with under 2.5 goals at a much more palatable 4-5. The last five meetings have been under 2.5 goals – all 1-0, 0-1 or 1-1.

From PSG I go to PSV and their opening Eredivisie encounter at Den Haag. PSV have won four of their last five away to their opponents, including a 6-1 and 5-1 rout. They won 7-0 at home last season and in four meetings have scored 21 and conceded one.

They are 2-5 with Titanbet to make a winning start to the campaign and should do so. I'd tip PSV -1 f it wasn't for the fact they have a new boss in Philipp Cocu and plenty of recent signings in players such as Ji-Sung Park, Colombian defender Santiago Arias, midfielder Stijn Schaars, defender Karim Rekik and midfielder Adam Maher from AZ who looks a class act.

Make it a treble with Belgian side Lokeren who stunned champions Anderlecht with a 3-2 win in Brussels last week. They are at home to Mons and are 8-13 to make it two wins out of two.

Mons drew at home to Cercle Brugge last weekend and could struggle. Cercle went down at home 4-0 to Anderlecht last night so that point wasn't a great one for Mons. Interestingly for both teams to score fans this game has brought up the market six times running.

Top Treble

PSG v Bordeaux under 2.5 goals (7.45pm)

PSV (5.45pm)

Lokeren (7.30pm)

Pays 3-1 at Titanbet

Looking at the Super Cup final tonight and PSG have been tipped to win comfortably against Bordeaux. Bordeaux have many injuries including their main striker. Cavani is not playing so Lavezzi will be pushed up to play alongside Ibrahimovic.

Lavezzi is a stand out price at 6/1 for first goal or if you want to be on the safer side then back him ew or anytime @ 7/4.

J Pastore also offers excellent value @ 10/1 first goal compared to 6/1 offered elsewhere. To score anytime he is huge @ 10/3.

    RECOMMENDED BETS

    Lavezzi First Goalscorer @ 6/1
    Pastore Anytime Goalscorer @ 10/3

Good luck if you choose to back any.

I’ve made a few quid on the overs on the Monaco Spurs game tonight. Is any body else experiencing Coral website delaying paying out? I’m spotting interesting in-play opportunities, but waiting for the funds back is frustrating and time consuming!

Chris, you have to remember these pre-season cup games can be like that. It’s why I tipped under 2.5 goals and need it to complete the Euro treble after wins by PSV and Lokeren.

Chris, injury time winner from PSG has killed the Euro treble but maybe that was asking too much.
