ONE day it was Hibs and the next it was Rangers' turn – going 120 minutes at Hampden before winning a Scottish Cup semi-final on penalties.
Both victories were as dramatic as the other and how they react is anyone's guess. As luck would have it the finalists are in action at Easter Road tonight and it will be impossible to replicate the weekend drama.
Hibs v Rangers – who would have thought tonight's Championship clash would be a Scottish Cup Final rehearsal?
Rangers sealed the title a couple of weeks ago so this means much more to Hibs who trail second-placed Falkirk by six points with two games in hand. Avoiding a tricky two-legged play-off against Raith is the prize to the runners-up and Hibs will be keen to take the points tonight.
Ibrox boss Mark Warburton will freshen up his side by bringing back Billy King and Michael O'Halloran but his choices are limited so there are unlikely to be many changes to the side that knocked out Celtic.
Hibs are as big as 11-5 with bet365 with Gers 11-8 at Coral and the draw 17-10 with Ladbrokes.
Meetings this season have generally been high scoring with Hibs winning 2-1 at home in the league and Rangers 6-2 at Easter Road in the Challenge Cup at the start of the campaign and 4-2 at Ibrox in the league. The other meeting at Ibrox was a 1-0 home success.
Difficult to pick a winner so my only bet is over 2.5 goals at 4-5 with McBookie although I might add something when I see the line-ups.
