THE Sea Island Resort, in Georgia hosts the last tournament on the PGA Tour for the year, the RSM Classic.
The course is a links on the Atlantic coast at the southern tip of St Simons Island and the tournament is played over two courses, the 7005-yard, par 70 Seaside Course and the 7058-yard par 72 Plantation Course for the first two rounds.
After that play continues on the Seaside Course for the final two rounds. Hitting greens in regulation and converting the chances will be key.
At this time of year due to the fact the big boys are enjoying a well-earned rest you normally find there are a lot of first time or rookie winners such as Patton Kizzire, Patrick Cantlay and Ryan Armour. Having said that I'm picking someone who has won on Tour but that was a few years ago.
I still have a feeling Chesson Hadley is going to get his second win soon, his firstwas way back in 2014 at the Puerto Rico Open. His start to this season has been nothing short of phenomenal (T3, 2, T4).
He had to withdraw in Mexico last week due to illness and nothing to do with his game so picking him again this week seems to be a no brainer. Last year at the RSM Classic he was sitting fifth after 54 holes but faded badly to finish T45.
Taking last week out of the mix he has hit 70 or under in nine out of 12 rounds and if he continues that form he will be in the mix come Sunday. GIR: 72.62% (46th). Strokes Gained: Putting: 0.952 (12th).
