THE second round of World Cup qualifiers starts on Thursday night with nine games in Groups D, G and I and later South American qualifiers.

Wales are now a top-10 side and ranked ahead of the likes of England, Spain and Italy and 16 places in front of tonight's hosts Austria.

And I reckon Chris Coleman's men can justify their billing and have a good night in Vienna.

Wales showed no reaction to their wonderful Euro 2016 qualifiers by launching their World Cup campaign with a 4-0 hammering of Moldova.

Austria are a step up but struggled to take one point in France and edged past Georgia 2-1 in their opener.

Aaron Ramsay's absence is a blow but with Gareth Bale in their ranks the Welsh can seemingly take on anyone. Back them to win at 5-2 with Betway and take Bale to score at 7-4 with McBookie.

If you want to keep the stalemate on side do Wales draw no bet at 11-8 with McBookie while Bale is 19-5 at McBookie to net first.

Austria's dangerman is Marko Arnautovic but he's had a poor start to the season at Stoke. He is 5-2 with McBookie to come alive tonight with a goal.

Also in Group D Republic of Ireland entertain Georgia and three points look on the cards for Martin O'Neill's men after they did the double over them in qualifying for the Euros.

Since returning from France the Irish have beaten Oman 4-0 in a friendly and drawn 2-2 in Serbia.

The former marked the international retirement of Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle is being lined up as his replacement and is 21-10 at McBookie to net.

An alternative is Jeff Hendrick who moved to Stoke after the Euros and netted against Serbia. He is 11-2 at Paddy Power to score at any time.

Ireland are no bigger than 1-2 with the likes of William Hill to make it eight wins out of eight against the Georgians.

Both meetings in the Euro qualifiers finished 1-0 to the Irish and they are evens at bet365, William Hill and McBookie to win to nil.

The other game in the group sees Serbia travel to Moldova and they are 1-2 with Betfred and William Hill.

We all know how good Iceland were in the Euros and while they started with a lucky 1-1 draw in Ukraine they should see off a Finland side held at home by new boys Kosovo. Iceland are 7-10 at Skybet and I like Gylfi Sigurdsson at 19-10 with McBookie to score.

There will be a cracking atmosphere for Kosovo's first competitive home match against Croatia. The Croats are expected to win well and are 8-15 with bet365. They are without the likes of Dejan Lovren, Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic and Alen Halilovic but Mario Mandzukic will be hoping to fill his boots. He is 4-1 at 888sport to score first.

Bets to Consider

Wales draw no bet

Bale to score

Ireland to win to nil

Iceland

Mandzukic to score first

Is that a joke about Kevin Doyle? Surely Shane long, Walters, even Adam Rooney is a better option than him?

Just going with what I’ve read. Will get firmer team news today. Personally I’d play Long -a much better player than Rooney.

Would imagine it will be long mate. Think it will be a close game one for the unders. Georgia are quite stuffy!

Marko Arnautovic is now 11/4 to score any time with McBookie and Bet Victor Paul.
I will be having a punt on this if he starts, his luck is due to change .
