EVERY Saturday William Hill's Owen Scott and McBookie's Paul Petrie do battle in the junior football challenge.
The dynamic duo will be putting up trebles every weekend and Owen has the bragging rights after four wins this season with Paul having earned £14.44.
For those who don't know anything about junior football the level of the top clubs is equivalent or in some cases better than Scottish League 2 outfits and we can gauge that easier now with the champions of the three regions – North, East and West – qualifying to play in the
William Hill Scottish Cup along with the Junior Cup winners.
The term “junior” has nothing to do with players' ages and it often confuses people outside Scotland. Some of the top clubs such as Auchinleck, Hurlford, Irvine Meadow and Linlithgow pay bigger wages than most League 1 and League 2 teams and therefore attract players who could be plying their trade at a higher level.
McBookie list all games online and take bets on every junior match while
William Hill only take bets in shops. Here are this weekend's tips from Paul and Owen.
Owen writes: Once again it's a game of beat the weather when trying to pick matches for my treble. I'm starting in the West Region and taking in a match with an all-weather surface and I'm going for Beith at 7-5 to return from Petershill with three points in the bag.Next up I head East and take the favourites for the East Super League Bonnyrigg (1-2) to get a win as they visit Broxburn on league duty. Bonnyrigg just show no sign of stopping this season and I reckon they will get all three points.
My final selection sees me head back West and I'm taking Hurlford at 1-1 away to Pollok. After an early-season slump Hurlford have put together a run which will see them become challengers and on recent form I can only see this being an away win

Paul writes: First up in the West I am backing Renfrew to beat Thorniewood at 8-11. Renfrew are the second favourites for the league and will have been delighted to get back to winning ways after two draws.
Thorniewood were the pre-season favourites so this won’t be an easy game but Renfrew have only dropped one point at home and can keep up their title challenge with another victory.
In the East I am going for Downfield to beat Kirriemuir at 13-8. The Spiders are no longer favourites for the league and indeed are now a bigger price than Kirrie. Despite the home side being on a terrific run these are normally the games where Downfield step up to the plate and they represent good value. Conceding goals has been their main problem so keeping it tight at the back will be imperative.
With just one game in the North I am sticking to the East and backing Glenrothes to beat Blairgowrie at 19-20. Both teams are flying and this game could go a long way to deciding the destination of the title. I think that will be to Fife which is why I am siding with Glenrothes. It will be a tight game but I fancy them to nick a win
