IT’S crunch time in the Scottish Football Leagues with teams battling it out to be winners and grinners.

And once again our lower-league man Joe Wallace has been on the case in the search for a winning treble.

We kick off this week in the Irn-Bru First Division and the mouthwatering clash between first-placed Dunfermline and second-placed Raith Rovers.

The Pars go into this match a point ahead of the Kirkcaldy men and with only two matches remaining after this weekend they know a win could well see them crowned champions.

There is so much riding on this one and add in the fact it is a Fife derby in front of a sell-out 11,500 crowd and we are set for fireworks.

Rovers led the way in pole position for large periods of the season but after finally getting their necks in front the Pars will look to complete the job.

Last week they were in sensational form as they thrashed Queen of the South 6-1 and with the benefit of home advantage and roared on by a massive East End Park crowd I can see them getting the win they so desperately desire.

There is so little to split the sides and Jim McIntyre’s men haven’t defeated Rovers in three attempts this season but I reckon that can change and am going for a narrow home win at
11-10 (various).

We stay in the First Division and focus on Falkirk’s away trip to face a Stirling side who are already relegated. The Bairns still have an outside chance of winning the title but they will need other results to go their way as well as them being victorious in their three remaining games.

Steven Pressley’s boys go into this one a whopping 38 points ahead of Albion in the table and have won the last three clashes between the clubs.

They have scored a massive 12 goals in those last three fixtures so it’s no surprise I am taking them as the second side in my treble. Go for an away win at 8-15 (various).

We finish up in the Irn-Bru Third Division and title-chasing Arbroath’s home clash with Montrose. The Gayfield men are edging closer to winning the division as they sit six points clear at the top with only three games remaining.

They face a Montrose outfit a huge 29 points behind them in the table and know a win could well see them clinch the title. Arbroath have ran riot in the last two clashes between the clubs, winning 5-0 and 4-0, so go for them to complete the hat-trick at 1-2 (various).
