Liverpool quadruple odds

Liverpool's odds of pulling off the ultimate trophy haul have been slashed after the Reds pulled off a hugely significant 2-0 victory over title rivals Manchester City.

Goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah were enough to overcome a waning Manchester City side who just cannot get their act together at present. Pep Guardiola's side have now lost five league games in a row after their most recent defeat.

However, the current state of affairs could hardly be much better for Arne Slot's side. Performing above expectations in every competition in which they have featured, we take a look at why backing them for the quadruple could provide excellent value at 150/1.

Performances suggest Liverpool can win the quadruple

As well as being top of the Premier League table by nine points, and at the summit of the Champions League's new ‘league phase' standings, Liverpool are also into the last eight of the Carabao Cup, with a fixture away to struggling Southampton in the calendar for 18th December.

The calibre of the Champions League opponents they've vanquished is also highly encouraging for anyone who has already backed the quadruple. Reigning holders and Spanish champions Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, AC Milan, Bologna and German champions Bayer Leverkusen have all been put to the sword by Arne Slot's side, and they have only conceded one goal in the process.

It is also important to consider that Liverpool are yet to enter the FA Cup as one of the competition's top teams, giving them an easier shot at a fourth trophy. They also have an gentler start than some of their rivals, with a home tie against Accrington Stanley in the third round. Meanwhile, at least one of the ‘big six' will be out at the first hurdle, with Arsenal facing Manchester United.

Liverpool's chances of each individual trophy are increasing

At 150/1, Liverpool's quadruple chances appear relatively strong, just four months after they were priced at 1500/1 on the eve of the 2024/25 season. Much of that is down to the form of one man, who many believed to be a spent force late last season, as Liverpool's hopes of a quadruple crumbled dramatically.

Despite being linked to potential moves abroad, Mohamed Salah has been in the form of his life this season, amassing 18 goal contributions in the league from 13 league matches. Meanwhile, Slot also seems to have got the best out of Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz in his newfound number 9 role.

Just one cautionary note

However, one thing to consider is the recent injury to defensive stalwart Ibrahima Konate. The Frenchman had formed a formidable partnership with Virgil van Dijk, but a knee injury will potentially keep him out until the new year.

Joe Gomez filled in at centre-back against City, but only time will tell whether the Englishman can fill the void left by Konate with the same consistency.

Are the current Liverpool quadruple odds worth watching?

It would currently be tough to argue against Liverpool having an excellent chance at winning all four trophies, as Slot's Reds have been dominant this season.

Overall though, a return of 38 goals scored and only nine conceded across the Premier League and Champions League demonstrates exactly the level of dominance that they are displaying, and why it would be well within the club's reach to push on and achieve the ultimate feat.
