Spread betting tips this weekend: Our picks
Winning margin: Southampton to make Brighton work for it
On Friday night, it's Brighton vs Southampton at the Amex Stadium in the South Coast Derby. On paper, there should only be one winner here with Brighton currently 18 points better off than Southampton after just 12 matches.
Despite that, if you look at Brighton's recent form then you will see that they aren't exactly blowing teams away. None of their last five wins in all competitions have been by a margin of more than one goal so backing the sell price of 1.5 on the winning margin makes complete sense.
Backing the sell price also covers you if Southampton pull off a shock victory. The Saints deserved something against Liverpool last week so they aren't playing as badly as their form suggests.
Corners squared: A game of few crosses at the City Ground
On Saturday afternoon, Nottingham Forest take on Ipswich at the City Ground with the hosts looking to bounce back for losing consecutive matches for the first time this season. The outcome of this game is quite tricky to predict but one thing that you shouldn't expect on Saturday is plenty of corners.
Over their last three matches, Ipswich have only taken ten corners which works out at just over three corners per match. Nottingham Forest have taken slightly more over the same period (15), at an average of five corners per match.
If both teams play to these averages then only eight corners will be taken at the City Ground on Saturday. Eight squared is 64 which makes the sell price of 132 on corners squared a VERY attractive price.
First Arsenal goal: Gunners to start hot
Arsenal have looked a far better team with Martin Odegaard back in the middle of the pitch and the Norweigan will look to pick apart West Ham on Saturday. In their last two matches combined, Arsenal have scored three goals before the 40th minute so backing them to grab another early goal here makes sense.
West Ham may have turned a corner on Monday night when they beat Newcastle but it is difficult to ignore their tendency to concede first-half goals this season. In recent weeks, they've conceded goals in the first minute, sixth minute and 15th minute and Arsenal will look to exploit this.
Bookings: Amorim's aggressive style to result in more cards
It's only early days but we are already seeing how aggressive Ruben Amorim wants his Man Utd team to press and against Everton on Sunday, they will have every opportunity to do so given how deep Sean Dyche is expected to start his team.
Man Utd have picked up ten bookings in their last four matches at Old Trafford at an average of 2.5 per match. Everton, meanwhile, have picked up eight in their last four away matches at an average of two per match. This equates to 45 booking points which would be enough to win this bet on Sunday.
Shirt numbers: Liverpool and City to be a cagey affair?
Ahead of Liverpool vs Man City on Sunday, Pep Guardiola is more than likely thinking about how he can go there and shut up shop after how leaky his Man City team has been in recent weeks. The good news, in some ways, is that Liverpool haven't been going for the throat this season and have been more than happy to settle for 2-0 wins.
If things go a similar way on Sunday then the sell price of 53 on shirt numbers would be very comfortable, unless Trent Alexander-Arnold is passed fit and gets on the scoresheet. This price even covers us if it's a 2-2 classic with Salah and Haaland, both team's top goalscorers, scoring a brace each.
