Winless since 19 October, Leicester City departed ways with Steve Cooper over the weekend, as the team sit one place above the relegation zone.
Resentment had grown towards Cooper, as supporters felt he was not playing exciting football. Now, the betting market has opened for who will be the Englishman's replacement.
Former Chelsea and Brighton manager Graham Potter is the current favourite to replace Cooper. A very unhappy spell at Stamford Bridge has seen Potter jobless since April 2023, as his managerial opportunities have dried up.
Now, however, it may be time for him to reestablish himself in the Premier League by guiding Leicester City to safety.
There will be stiff competition for Potter, though, as he is by no means the clear favourite. Ruud van Nistelrooy and David Moyes have also emerged as potential candidates to take the helm at the King Power Stadium.

Current favourites
Graham Potter – 7/4
After only 31 matches in charge of Chelsea, previously talked-up manager Graham Potter was sacked by the club. A very successful spell in charge of Brighton had seen him gain 1.28 points per game across 134 fixtures, but his disastrous spell at Stamford Bridge marred this.
Now looking to get back into management after over a year hiatus, Potter has emerged as the favourite for the Leicester City job at 7/4. With an imminent Premier League return expected for the Englishman, these odds could provide very good value for punters.
David Moyes – 3/1
Second favourite Moyes has had an established Premier League managerial career. A total of 103 wins from 230 games in charge during his last stint at West Ham is nothing to sniff at, especially when considering he secured a first-ever European trophy for the club.
Bookies have Moyes placed at 3/1 for the Leicester role, and he could provide good value having been out of a job since departing West Ham in the most recent summer window.
A manager since 1998, the Scotsman would bring a great wealth of experience to the King Power Stadium, and would hope to be able to guide Leicester to a comfortable mid-table finish.
Ruud van Nistelrooy – 7/1
After it was reported that former Manchester United striker Van Nistelrooy had applied for the Coventry City job, he has now emerged as a contender to take over at Leicester.
The Dutchman had put himself forward to join the struggling Championship side in the wake of his departure from Man United, but it appears that the club are now in advanced talks to secure Frank Lampard instead.
Van Nistelrooy had had a short but impressive spell as interim boss at his former club, racking up three wins and a draw from four games. His last managerial role was in charge of PSV Eindhoven in the 2022/23 season, where the club finished second. Van Nistelrooy departed by resignation, stating that he had experienced a lack of support.
Despite being 7/1, the Dutchman could be a great choice. Already up-and-coming in the managerial realm, he will be desperate to secure another permanent position after being assistant manager at Man United, and taking over at Leicester would give him the difficult but rewarding opportunity he is looking for.
