HIBERNIAN entertain Dundee United on Sunday after both sides were in midweek action.
Hibs' season has been embarrassing and desperately disappointing so far and they conceded another late goal last week to spoil what would have been a huge victory for them against Hearts in the Edinburgh derby.
And in midweek, they had to settle for a goalless draw in Dingwall against Ross County, which to be fair wasn't a bad result because the Staggies are good at home.
United were tipped by plenty to go straight back down, but ex-Aberdeen and St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin has done a very decent job so far.
They have put on plenty of credible displays – not least in an incredible win against their opponents a couple of weeks ago.
But they've now slumped to two defeats in a row after a late goal defeated them against Aberdeen and a 2-1 midweek home loss to Motherwell.
How the bookies view it: Hibs odds-on good things
Hibs were on the drift this week and ae out to almost evens – 19/20 is the best price on offer with William Hill.
United can be backed at 13/4 with UniBet and the draw is 27/10 with the same firm.
Recent head to heads: United humbled Hibs
Dundee United were 2-1 down heading into injury time at Tannadice a couple of weeks ago only for the hosts to score twice and win 3-2.
Hibs have won just one of their last eight meetings between the sides.
Players to watch: Luca good for a goal
Swansea City's on loan Ukrainian striker Mykola Kuharevich was minutes away from being the hero last week in the Edinburgh derbt when he opened the scoring for Hibs, until a late Hearts leveller spoiled the party. He is 2/1 to score anytime with bet365.
Luca Stephenson has been one of United's stand-out players this season and the on-loan Liverpool kid levelled against Hibs the other week and is 8/1 to get on the scoresheet against Hibs.
Predicted line-ups:
Hibs should only be without long-term injury victim Kieron Bowie, although veteran striker Dwight Gayle is struggling with a tight hamstring.
United look set to be without Craig Sibbald, Ross Graham, Ross Docherty and Louis Moult
Hibernian: Bursik, Miller, Ekpiteta, O'Hora, Obita, Kwon, Triantis, Boyle, Youan, Hoilett, Kuharevich.
Dundee United: Walton, Adegboyega, Gallagher, Holt, Stephenson, Sevelj, Babunski, Ferry, Trapanovski, Middleton, Dalby.
Anything else catch the eye?
Hibs should be able to gain revenge on a United side who look like they are starting to find the going tougher in the top flight.
The Leith team were probably the better side against United at Tannadice a few weeks ago until their incredible injury time collapse which was also partly caused by the late red card to captain Joe Newell and can get under-pressure boss David Gray a much-needed win here.
There were five goals in the last meeting and there should be a few here too. Back both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at 6/5 with Coral.
