Reigning Champions Ulsan will look to regain top spot in the K League 1 table tomorrow morning as they travel to the Gwangju Football Stadium to take on 9th-placed Gwangju in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Gwangju are the joint third-highest scorers in the Korean top flight, slamming in 19 goals across their opening 11 matches, with 12 (63%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
Lee Jung-hyo’s hosts have only failed to score away at current leaders the Pohang Steelers on Matchday 3 – scoring on multiple occasions in six (55%) of their league contests, including in 4/6 (67%) of them on home soil – and will look to trouble an Ulsan defence that has only recorded three clean sheets across their previous 10 K League 1 encounters, shipping multiple goals in five (50%) of them.
Hong Myung-bo’s visitors are the leading scorers in the Korean top flight, banging in 24 goals across their opening 11 matches, with eight (33%) of them coming across their five road trips.
The Tigers have found the back of the net in 10 (91%) of their league encounters – notching on multiple occasions in eight of their previous 10 – and will be confident of increasing their impressive goal-tally against a Gwangju defence that is without a clean sheet in each of their last 10 K League 1 fixtures, shipping multiple goals in seven (70%) of them.
