ARSENAL laid down an enormous statement of intent in their last game before the international break when they finally put one over the champions of England and Europe Manchester City.
And they face another huge test on Saturday night when they travel across London to face an improving Chelsea side.
The Gunners just fell short of City last season, but they probably did enough to edge it against them thanks to that late deflected strike from Gabriel Martinelli.
They would have been delighted to face this Chelsea side earlier in the season after a pitiful start but there are plenty of signs Mauricio Pochettino has started to get a tune out of his extremely expensively-assembled stars.
After losing dismally at home to both Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa, a Carbao Cup win against Brighton sparked them into life.
Since they have negotiated a pair of potentially tricky wins at neighbours Fulham and at Burnley, where they rattled in four goals.
But of course, an Arsenal side who have added plenty of steel this season is a different proposition.
Arsenal have played three away league games this season and won them all without conceding a goal.

Recent head to heads
Arsenal did the double last season over their capital rivals and won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. They have triumphed in their the last three meetings between them.
The North London side are unbeaten on their last four visits to the Bridge, although Chelsea did hammer them 4-1 in the 2019 Europa League Final.
Players to watch
Raheem Sterling has been excellent for Chelsea all season and got back on the scoresheet in that 4-1 win in Lancashire against Burnley. The former Manchester City winger is 3/1 to score anytime with bet365.
As mentioned, Gabriel Martinelli was the hero for Arsenal with that late winner against City and it was the Brazilian's first goal of the season. He is 10/3 to double that tally with bet365.
Anything else catch the eye?
This should be a lively Saturday night affair and the visitors could just be too strong for Chelsea even if they have improved.
Mikel Arteta will be desperate not to throw a precious win against City away in their very next game and they can get the better of Chelsea for the fourth time in a row.
