I was unable to make it a hat-trick of wins with my sole selection letting me down.
Riversway didn't have any excuses in my opinion. She was bang there a furlong or so from the line and when asked to quicken found little of the bridle when asked to go win the race.
Another competitive day of Saturday racing is on the horizon and it will be my last day covering rizz as he is back on tomorrow evening with Sunday's tips. As usual thanks for the kind words of support in the comments. It can be a frustrating old game!
Annaf 5/1 – 1:50 Sandown
A very competitive race and one I'd normally enjoy watching rather than punting in however I like the chances of Mick Applebys Annaf.
Micks having a good season and has Annaf in good nick heading into this.
Tomorrow's race is a drop in grade for my selection. Annaf has a recent run under his belt after running a stormer at Royal Ascot where he finished third in the King's Stand last month.
He beat a couple of these on that occasion including Raasel, Marshman and Existent. A repeat of that performance can see Annaf go close at decent odds.
Stenton Glider 11/4 – 3:00
A good few in this race hold strong claims but I narrowed it down to Hugo Palmers Stenton Glider.
He's still very much unexposed and in my opinion, brings the strongest piece of form to the table.
He finished second in the German 1000 Guineas recently and tomorrow's race represents quite a significant drop in grade.
Andrea Atzeni takes the ride and was the man on board Strenton Glider when he contested the German 1000 guineas.
Gaassee 14/1 EW – 3:15 Haydock
Not a selection I'd throw the wallet at due to being completely out of sorts but at the prices I couldn't help but have a few bob on him each way at 14s.
Gassse was pretty unlucky not to win this particular race last year. When he contested last year he was running of 101 and has now dropped to a handicap mark of 99. Adam Farragher has been booked for the ride and takes of a further 2lb.
I mentioned above that I wouldn't go big with the stakes on this one as he's been completely out of sorts on his previous 2 outings since being gelded.
Horses can sometimes need a run or 2 after a gelding operation so im going to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he can bounce back.
He's too well handicapped to ignore at the prices and if able to recapture some of his older form could see him run a good race at nice odds.

J m jungle finally did it !! Thank god had a nice single on that as it did run well in defeat and the time had to be near ! Fingers crossed the others do a little damage now !

Hi All,
Happy to report I got good news at the Hospital yesterday, my Cancer is gone.
I still have to attend every 3 months for checkups for the next 2 years but I’m happy to put up with that.
For me this All started around April last year. I was travelling home from work by bus (takes me about an hour to reach home by bus) and I kept falling asleep, sometimes missing my stop and then having to get the bus back.
When i got home I would then eat some dinner, sit on the sofa and crash out again with no energy to even take the dog for a walk but at least the family took turns with him so he was still taken out.
I got so sick of this that I eventually went to the doc and he did bloods on me which came back perfect. In fact he said I should be about 30 according to my results, I’m 58.
I still wasn’t happy as I knew there was something not right so the doc said he could do another blood test and check for other things but they also came back perfect.
I was then in work and just got an itch on my neck so I put my hand up to scratch it and then I felt a large lump on the left side of my neck.
Back down to the doc again and he referred me to an ENT specialist and the rest is history.
Basically the cancer was attacking my lymph nodes in my neck causing them to swell which would then cause an issue with my thyroid gland (which would cause the tiredness).
I know us men are not the best when it comes to looking after ourselves and tend to put things on the long finger but I urge you if you think somethings not right then that is usually the case so seek advice. Don’t put it off and look after yourself.
We’re all only here once so make the most of it.
I will most certainly be doing that going forward.

You’ve ten years on me 🤪I was hit with a cancer scare 6 years I had surgery to remove a tumour on one of my crown jewels once that was done and got the all clear a great feeling and relief the NHS was top class.
Also a few years ago I didn’t feel right heart was given palpitations so went to the Dr’s the the next thing was in hospital got all the relevant required ECG bloods checked etc and was then diagnosed with
a heart condition (afib) so now on meds.
Don’t waste any time get checked out guys you know your own body is my message.
