Freiburg will look to climb back into the Champions League positions as they welcome mid-table Bayer Leverkusen to Europa-Park Stadion tomorrow afternoon.
Freiburg recorded back-to-back wins in the Bundesliga for the first time since the start of November last time out, as they followed up their 2-1 success over Stuttgart with a 0-2 victory away at a Bochum side that had won each of their previous five in front of their supporters. After losing their opening home fixture 1-3 against Borussia Dortmund, Christian Streich’s side is unbeaten in each of their next nine Bundesliga fixtures as hosts – winning six of their previous seven.
Before securing their place in the Last-16 of the Europa League on Thursday night, Bayer Leverkusen suffered their third defeat from their last four Bundesliga matches, despite coming from behind twice, lost 2-3 at home to Mainz. Whilst Xabi Alonso’s side have won three of their previous four Bundesliga matches on their travels – including a 1-3 victory over struggling Hoffenheim in their last away fixture – Die Werkself have struggled when away to the top sides, losing all four against clubs currently positioned in the top-six.

Bayer Leverkusen have struggled defensively on their travels in the Bundesliga this season, registering a solitary clean sheet across their 10 road trips, conceding 19 goals.
Freiburg have found the back of the net in all bar one of their 10 Bundesliga outings as hosts this season, scoring 18 goals. What’s more, the club from the Black Forest have scored on multiple occasions in six of their previous seven Bundesliga fixtures in front of their supporters – and I reckon they're a decent bet to bag another double at home to this vulnerable Leverkusen defence.
