INTER MILAN host Porto in a Champions League Round of 16 first leg tie in Italy featuring two clubs who have already arguably overachieved to get through their groups.
Simone Inzaghi's men overcame a group of death with Barcelona and Bayern Munich to eliminate the Spaniards and they are going along nicely in Serie A, having lost just once in all competitions since November, although they surely have next to no chance of preventing Napoli from winning Serie A as they lag 15 points behind them.
Porto also sit in second place in their league with Benfica on top in Portugal – they are just two points behind the Lisbon side.
Like Inter, Sergio Conceicao's men are motoring domestically and have now won six in a row in the league, although there is a clear dup in standards between the leagues in the two countries. They haven't been defeated since a painful loss to Benfica in October.
Porto had to get past Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen to quality alongside Club Brugge, who actually thrashed them 4-0 in Portugal back in September.
However, Porto have serious injury problems with Evanilson, Fabio Cardoso, Gabriel Veron and Francisco Meixedo all expected to be out and Toni Martinez a doubt.
How the bookies view it
Inter are odds-on across the board and Betfred's 4/5 is the closest you can get to anything approaching evens.
Porto are 21/5 outsiders with SBK and the draw is 13/5 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
The clubs haven't met for 18 years and it was a home win apiece in the Group Stages of the Champions League back then.
Players to watch
Romelu Lukaku has hardly enjoyed a vintage season after his Chelsea nightmare last season and his World Cup disaster, but he takes the penalties and converted one in the weekend's 3-1 win over Udinese. He is 2/1 to net with bet365.
Iranian hitman Mehdi Taremi scored against England in the World Cup and has netted 18 goals in 29 appearances this season. He is 4/1 to score with bet365.
Anything else catch the eye?
This could be a tight affair and it's highly unlikely anything will be decided until next week in Oporto.
Both teams have conceded just one goal in their last five games and it will surely be a close encounter. Inter look to have a stronger squad and had to come through a harder group, so preference is with Inter to win and under 2.5 goals with Paddy Power at 13/5.
Pepe may be 39, but is as intimidating as ever. He will relish a game like this against the Italians and the 13/8 for him to be booked with bet365 looks too tempting to ignore!
