CELTIC are as short as 1/14 to win the Premiership again and they resume their league campaign on Saturday lunchtime with a trip north to play Aberdeen.
The Hoops were in excellent form for the first half of the season, but they will face a Dons side who reached third place before the World Cup break and have turned Pittodrie into something of a fortress again.
Aberdeen have scored the same amount of goals at home – 22 – as Celtic and have won six of their seven league games at Pittodrie this season.
However, the Hoops form coming into this is pretty sensational. They have won their last eight league games in a row and have triumphed in 14 of their 15 league matches this season.
Ange Postecoglou's side went to Australia and Portugal for their mid-season break and played a few friendlies, while the Dons went to the USA and played one match against partner club Atlanta.
Celtic will be without Croatian World Cup hero Josip Juranovic, but all of their other players will be back for the match and the likes of Daizen Maeda, Aaron Mooy and Cameron Carter-Vickers can all be proud of having a very good tournament with all qualifying from the group stages.
How the bookies view it
Celtic are strong 2/5 favourites generally with the likes of bet365, Coral and William Hill.
Aberdeen can be backed at 6/1 with bet365, McBookie.com and Paddy Power while a draw is 17/4 with UniBet.
Recent head to heads
Celtic have an outstanding recent record at Pittodrie – they haven't lost since 2016 since a Simon Church goal gave the home side the three points.
They also beat the Dons 2-0 in the opening day of the season and won in all three games last season by one goal on each occasion.
Players to watch
Bojan Miovski is joint top scorer at the time of writing in the Premiership with 11 goals and takes the Aberdeen penalties. The North Macedonian international is a danger and value at 27/10 to score anytime with bet365.
Jota was starting to motor again before the break and the Portuguese heartthrob is 11/8 to score with bet365 on Saturday.
Anything else catch the eye?
Aberdeen boast an excellent home record and have scored plenty of goals at Pittodrie. But although they will fancy their chances of adding to their tally, they have yet to face anyone at home of the calibre of Celtic.
And with Celtic expected to continue where they left off, the value looks to be for a Celtic win and both teams to score at 17/10 with William Hill.
Since losing to St Mirren, Celtic's eight straight league wins have seen them complete just one solitary clean sheet. And there are usually plenty of goals in it too so try Ladbrokes' 9/5 for an away win and over 3.5 goals.
