BOOS have rung out at Ibrox after the last two games and if there’s a repeat today when Aberdeen come calling it’s hard to see Gio van Bronckhorst surviving.

A series of poundings in the lucrative Champions League has knocked Gers off track domestically and they fell four points behind after a 1-1 draw with Livingston last weekend.

Morale then took a further hit with a 3-0 loss to Napoli on Wednesday night so the Ibrox boss desperately needs a victory this afternoon.

Aberdeen will scent blood – even though McBookie have them as 15/2 outsiders – and it will be interesting to see how Jim Goodwin approaches this game tactically.

He has the firepower to hurt a Rangers defence that looks vulnerable without Connor Goldson but will have seen how Livi managed to frustrate them with a defensive gameplan.

I can see the Dons scoring if Goodwin opts against parking the bus and that bet pays a best 66/67 with SBK but I don’t think we’ll see a goalfest and under 2.5 goals appeals at a tempting 11/8 with Bet365.

Sparks usually fly when these sides collide and it could be a busy day for the ref and VAR.

Aberdeen have picked up most cards in nine of their last 10 visits to Ibrox so that bet appeals today at 19/20 with Unibet.

The odds are longer on individual players at Bet365 where Dons skipper Anthony Stewart is 6/4 and Gers utility man James Sands 11/4.

Livingston shocked van Bronckhorst’s men last weekend and will be out to cause more Old Firm headaches when they welcome Celtic to the Tony Macaroni Arena tomorrow.

It’s fitting the Hoops are heading to this venue just before Halloween as they have starred in plenty of horror movies there.

The last six visits have yielded just one victory for Celtic although that came when they last pitched up in West Lothian back in March.

Coming off the back of a Champions League game with Shakhtar, it’s a potential banana skin so I’m steering clear of backing a result.

Corners look the best option again with Ange Postecoglou’s men as they racked up 18 across both games at the Tony Macaroni last term.

Bet365 price over 7.5 Hoops corners at evens and that looks good value while I also fancy Livi’s Sean Kelly for a card at 4/1 with the same firm after two yellows in games against Rangers this season.

Hibs have lost three on the spin and need a response when in-form St Mirren come to the capital today. Poor finishing has cost Lee Johnson’s side of late while the Buddies are hard to break down so it could be a tight game.

McBookie price a one-goal winning margin for either side at 7/5 and that looks good while the same firm price the half-time draw at 11/10.

Betting against Motherwell paid off for me last weekend as they lost at home to Aberdeen to make it four defeats in a row. Now Well head to Tannadice to face a Dundee United side who are finally showing some signs of life.

United’s price of 33/20 (Coral) looks decent but they’ve burned me too many times so I’m going for over 2.5 goals at 6/5 (William Hill).

Kilmarnock head to Perth on the back of a five-game unbeaten run that started with a 2-1 home win over St Johnstone. I can see it being a battle and Killie’s Alan Power appeals for a card at 7/5 with Bet365.

Hearts head to Dingwall tomorrow and over 25 goals appeals (Evs, McBookie) with the Jambos being involved in so many thrillers.

Scottish Super Singles

  • Super singles Aberdeen most cards (19/20, Unibet).
  • Over 7.5 Celtic corners (Evs, Bet365).
  • Alan Power card (7/5, Bet365).
  • HT draw at Hibs (11/10, McBookie)
