WEST BROM are the draw specialists of the English Championship so far and they could face another tight encounter against Burnley on Friday at The Hawthorns.
Steve Bruce's side love a stalemate in this league. They have played seven matches in the league already and drawn five of them. They have also hammered Hull City and lost at Blackburn Rovers.
But they have had three 1-1 draws already and while it's not a disastrous start by any means, the Baggies would love to turn those one points into three.
They are up against a Burnley side who have started life under Vincent Kompany quite nicely thank you very much. The former Manchester City and Belgium defender has overseen a massive rehaul of the Claret and Ambers since last season's relegation and hiring of him.
They have now won three in a row in all competitions which included a 2-0 midweek win against Millwall in Lancashire and a brilliant win at Wigan where they battered their hosts 5-1.
Both sides have had plenty of experience of this league and promotion battles over the last decade or so and both seek a return to the top flight as early as possible.
How the bookies view it
It's arguably surprising to see WBA as strong favourites as they are given their lack of wins. They are 7/5 with bet365 to win. Burnley can be backed at 9/4 on SBK and the draw is 23/10 with Betfred.
Recent head to heads
The sides last met two years ago in the Premier League and let's hope it's not an omen because both games at the respective grounds finished goalless.
Players to watch
Karlan Grant has got off to a very respectable start to the season at West Brown and has already scored four goals this season in nine appearances, including in their midweek draw at Wigan. He is 9/4 with bet365.
Jay Rodriguez is on three goals for the season in just five appearances and looks to be a man in form. He is 3/1 with bet365 to score in Birmingham.
Anything else catch the eye?
With West Brom seemingly unable to kill teams off and Burnley in fine recent form, it's tempting to go for a Burnley win all out, but WBA have only lost one league game and the sensible bet is the double chance for Burnley which gets the draw on your side. It's 4/6 with SportNation.
Burnley have rattled in the goals recently with ten goals in their last three games in a ten-day spell. They are a very good price at 21/10 with UniBet to score two goals or more on Friday night.
