MANCHESTER UNITED'S thoroughly miserable season continues on Saturday with a visit from bottom dogs Norwich City, who gave themselves a glimmer of hope last week.
United remain somehow in the hunt for European spots despite another disgraceful performance last week in their defeat at Everton which was overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo's meltdown.
The Old Trafford side have now won once in their last seven games and pundits are queuing up to put the boot in and no wonder after a season from hell. They've also failed to win three of their last four away games.
Norwich remain seven points off safety having played a game more and it still looks like curtains for them. They've also only won two away games out of 15 in the Premier League this season.
But their 2-0 win over fellow relegation strugglers Burnley last week handed them a glimmer of hope, although they have four away games and only three at home in the run-in.
However, they couldn't handpick a better time to be going to Old Trafford and face a United side whose wheels have long since come off and can't wait for their campaign to end.
How the bookies view it
Manchester United surely won't get many takers on current form at 1/4 with bet365. The Canaries can be backed at a massive 14/1 with SBK and 10Bet are offering the draw at 11/2.
Recent head to heads
Cristiano Ronaldo did the damage the last time the sides met earlier this season at Carrow Road as can be seen below. United have won the last five meetings between the club and City's last win at old Trafford was seven years ago,
Players to watch
Marcus Rashford surely must be due a goal soon – he's not netted in the past 11 games and has only scored five goals all season. He is 7/5 with Coral to net on Saturday.
Teemu Pukki has a respectable total of 13 goals for club and country this season and scored the clinching goal in last week's win against Burnley. He is 7/2 with bet365 to score at Old Trafford.
Anything else catch the eye?
Norwich have kept two clean sheets in a row and with this United side impossible to trust, it could be worth backing the Canaries on the handicap. They should at least come into this game with more confidence than a United side in disarray.
They are 23/20 with a two-goal start with Coral and can cover that.
The visitors have to go for it – they desperately need points and they should be able to score against the hosts' leaky defence. Try the 6/5 on Norwich scoring before the 79th minute with bet365.
