THE group stage of the Champions League comes thick and fast at this time of the year and we have another busy week ahead of European football as the clubs prepare for matchday 4.
Almost every club still has something to play for with some clubs in the must-win category and that should ensure the games are even more open than they have been.
Selectabet and I have recorded a special UCL Gambla Betting Podcast which you can listen to, to get our thoughts, analysis and tips for Tuesday and Wednesday's matches.
We have bets from the Dortmund v Inter match, Salzburg's trip to Napoli and two goals specials.
Borussia Dortmund vs Inter Milan (8pm)
Its make or break for these two in this winner-takes-all tie and having already defeated Dortmund 2-0 in the San Siro on matchday three. They'll be confidant of travelling to Germany and getting a positive result.
Inter have had a terrific season under Antonio Conte and have certainly backed their manager with a transfer pot that has exceeded 150m euros. They have a talented squad and will want to make up for last year's agonising goal difference exit.
They sit second in Serie A just one point behind Juve and with Romelu Lukaku banging in 9 goals already this season (he only managed 12 at Man United last season), I can't see them not scoring. Dortmund are no mugs and are having a good campaign themselves but with just 2 win from their last 9 matches in the UCL at home, they are going to have to score two to win this.
Expecting an open game here which should lead us to goals.
Recommended Bets:
- Over 2.5 goals
- 87/100 (Marathonbet) (NAP)
Napoli vs Red Bull Salzburg (8pm)
Salzburg have been a terrific addition to this season's UCL and it/s easy to see why punters and fans have soft spot for them. There's been 20 goals scored in their opening 3 matches and domestically they have scored more goals than any other side top flight side in Europe.
Six goals at home to Genk, 3 at European champions Liverpool and two at home to Napoli, they have no problem scoring goals and they can thank young Erling Haaland for that. The young goalscoring sensation is the competition's leading marksman with 6 goals and has 21 goals in all competitions.
A trip to Naples is no easy task (just ask Liverpool) and we should expect the home side to win this but Salzburg won't change their approach and although they may concede a few they are more than capable of finding the net.
Should be a cracking game with both sides contributing to goals.
Recommended Bet:
- Over 3.5 goals
- 51/50 (Marathonbet)
Tuesday UCL Goals Specials
- All 8 matches over 1.5 goals – 13/5 (Bet365)
- Six 8pm KO's – 19+ goals to be scored 8/11 (Skybet)
Hi Greg do you tend to go big or low on the UCL goals bets? May try myslef tonight.
Good luck
Only if it’s my NAP, worth doing But for smaller stakes
Cool went in on over 2.5s in the UCL & was worried with early kick offs but the under dogs have both just took the lead so fingers crossed. Good luck.
Another NAP landed, well done Greg :-)
I got in from work @ 7-00 this evening so I did the six remaining Champions League matches, ALL over 1.5 goals (just landed) and ALL over 2.5 goals (WAITING).
All backed 19 + goals and 20+ goals, great picking Greg, credit given when it is fully deserved.
Well done :-)
Just Napoli match not living up to expectations. A great night of Champions League and with the help of Greg a
nice profit made this evening, thanks
No worries mate – nice one 👍🏼⚽️
