IT’S a Super Sunday early in the season that sees titanic clashes between Liverpool v Man Utd and Man City v Arsenal.

And for good measure you can throw in Newcastle v Norwich and Spurs v QPR.

First up at 1.30pm it’s Anfield and there will be an electric and poignant atmosphere inside the stadium which makes you wonder if it’s one of those days when their fans lift the home side to a greater level.

Liverpool’s best display of the season came in holding Man City 2-2 and I’m going for another draw, with 2-2 having a chance and paying 14-1 (various).

Brendan Rodgers’ men put in a decent shift to pick up a point at Sunderland then had the luxury of resting his stars for the midweek trip to Young Boys in the Europa League.

Bookies have priced it up ever so slightly in United’s favour but I’m on the draw at 23-10 (bet365 and BetVictor).

Luis Suarez bagged Liverpool’s leveller at Sunderland and is 5-2 at Stan James while Paddy Power make Robin van Persie 11-10 to strike.

Liverpool have yet to keep a clean sheet this season and United's first came against Wigan last week so both teams to score must have a chance at 8-11 (various).

Man City host Arsenal at the Etihad where they have an exceptional record but this also has a chance of ending all square.

The Gunners have made a better start than expected after selling van Persie and were convincing winners when they visited Anfield.

City are odds-on favourites at 3-4 with BetVictor but best bet could be 4-6 (bet365) on both teams to score even though the that's not come up in the last two meetings.

Southampton netted two at the Etihad and QPR also scored and in fact City's last seven have seen both hit the target.

Carlos Tevez has been a star turn for City so far this season and is 5-1 at Labrokes to bag the opener while Arsenal new boy Lukas Podolski, three in three games, is 9-1 with Stan James.

My weekend top treble, enhanced by Betway.com to 7-2, is still running thanks to Partick Thistle and I'm hoping Newcastle and Spurs complete the win.

Newcastle, like Liverpool, didn't take their main men abroad in midweek and should be too good at home to a struggling Norwich. They are a biggest 4-5 at Paddy Power and William Hill and that looks decent value.

Demba Ba netted a double off the bench at Everton and should start. He is 5-1 at Skybet and bet365.

Spurs are no bigger than 8-15 with William Hill to beat QPR and should do so. And look at in-form Jermaine Defoe to hit the opener. He is 4-1 at Coral.

Gone for Newcastle & man utd to score 2 or more & over 1.5 in the city v arsenal game. Bit risky but £160 back from £20. Worth a bash
