FOR many teams it's still the middle of summer but for the likes of Celtic and Rangers the holidays are over and it's down the serious business on Tuesday night.
Scotland's low co-efficient means two past winners of European trophies lines up in the first qualifying round alongside minnows such as Ararat, Connah's Quay, Valletta, St Joseph's and Vaduz.
Only some good runs in Europe will change this scenario and the Old Firm clubs are both hoping to reach the group stage of their respective tournaments.
Celtic could have had an easier draw than Sarajevo and travel first to the Bosnian champions while Rangers have a Europa League gimme against Gibraltar minnows St Joseph's.
I've posted a separate preview covering best bets for the games involving the Scottish sides.
Other Champions League ties include Ararat Armenia v AIK, TNS v Ferenkeli and Suduva v Red Star Belgrade. And in the Europa League there are two other games Gzira Utd v Hajduk Split and CSKA Sofia v Titograd.
As Greg pointed out earlier in the week there are loads of friendlies too including Carlisle v Hibs, Morton v St Johnstone and Toulon v Barnsley. He's tipping Hibs at a decent price and read the reasoning here.
Greg's correct when he says the short prices on Celtic and Rangers are ridiculous but Rangers shouldn't concede against Gibraltar's third best side and on a treble I'm taking them to win to nil.
Add TNS at home to an Albanian side Feronikeli who might not travel well and take Red Star Belgrade against a Suduva side they've beaten in four out of four without conceding. Prices on all three legs have dropped so I should have posted last night but wanted to study the RFO, which is a good read this week, before deciding.
Monday was a no-bet day for me and well done to all the winners.

As you say it’s about mentality more than anything else.
A lot of players are beaten before they start against Williams but there are still question marks over her match fitness levels.
I’m not betting on this but I could see Riske taking a set.
