TOP POWER (4.05) can land fairly short odds in the 1m 4f novice stakes at Lingfield. Andrew Balding’s colt was beaten a head by Godolphin favourite One Vision over a shorter distance at Newcastle and well-held third War Tiger bolted up by more than three lengths next time at Wolverhampton.

I know a racing enthusiast. He apparently has been doing work for Dr Newland and got speaking to Charlie Hammond.
In short he told me that RED MIX would be highly tried lto. I watched the race and what he said was almost exact. The horse lead all the way and was reeled in by a Richard Johnson 5/4 fav at the last.
The point of the story is, he said to mull over AARON LAD which runs in the Pertermps at Cheltenham and is priced 14/1. I will mention again closer to the time.
