VISION CLEAR (7.10) takes a drop in distance/class after appearing to find 1m 6f at Haydock to severe a test in a hot race won by in-form Sexy Beast.
Ed Dunlop’s gelding had earlier finished second at Salisbury and the form is working out quite well. He gave weight and a comfortable beating to third horse Starboy, a dual winner since. Starboy ran second at Chepstow last week off a mark of 81, so Vision Clear must have a sound chance racing off 73 here.
JACKPOT ROYALE (8.10) is another class-dropper following a fifth to Fakhoor at Newmarket. That came on the back of a close second to Ragstone View at Newbury and this looks a good bit easier. He can race a bit freely, so he might need to find some cover from stall nine.
At shorter odds, ARABIAN JAZZ (8.40) can make the trip from Newmarket pay off by landing the fillies’ handicap for Michael Bell. She lost her chance at the gate when well-touted at Carlisle last month but this previous Beverley scorer ran well in defeat at Nottingham behind Roger Varian’s Rasima. Cameron Noble takes off 5lb.

Strangely the horse that was 2nd in the 2013 , 2000 Guinness behind dawn approach won a low grade race at Chelmsford today at 5-1.
