The Grand National is the one race each year that grabs everyones attention and It doesn't matter whether you are a regular follower of racing or a complete beginner. With MFTs Sweepstake Kit you can add to the excitement of the big race.
The number of Grand National runners has been cut from 40 to 34 so you've a better chance of winning this year than any other!
It features all 34 confirmed runners and comes with a handy second sheet to record who picked which horse. It's A4 size so you should be able to print it now problem and it's in PDF format.
How do you run a Grand National sweepstake?
To some people this may seem a silly question, but for those who are completely new you should hopefully find this article helpful.
- Start off by getting a group of friends, family or work colleagues together to gather interest. As there is 34 horses running ideally the wider pool of people the better.
- Decide how much you are going to charge as an entry fee to enter your Grand National sweepstake. Not everyone is a regular punter and as a suggestion on getting people to join easier I'd advise an entry fee between £1-£5. You can then choose If you want to split the money between places e.g 1st/2nd/3rd or simply just pay the person who picked the winner the entire pot. Be sure to let everyone know at the start how you are splitting the money to avoid any confusions
- I then advise printing two copies of our Grand National sweepstake kit page. The first copy is so you can write down everyone’s horses and the second copy is for you to cut out the runners to give to the people who have entered. When people are picking a horse I advise folding up all the horses from the cut out copy and putting them into a hat/container for people to choose from.
- Make sure you sell all the horses on the list. If this isn't possible try offering people who have already entered a further entry.
