NOTHING floats my boat on a very average day's racing and SERENITY NOW (3.40) wins a tentative vote in the amateur riders' handicap at Southwell.
Brian Ellison's veteran runs the track well and scored quite easily from Ruler Of The Nile over two miles. This slightly shorter trip isn't really a concern.
Serenity Now was put in 11-4 joint favourite on the early tissue along with Sir Mark Prescott's Alternate Route. The money soon came for Alternate Route (2-1) but Serenity Now looks the better value.
Pulsating kept up the headline tip's winning run, coming with a strong late run after being hampered early and shuffled back to last at one stage.
Oriental Lily (7-1) won very tidily for Jim Goldie and my other two selections ran okay without collecting.
Well done all winners yesterday and a special high five to busstop following some inspired tipping at Bangor.

A couple of very interesting horses at Wetherby on Friday, the first is in the 1:50 and is aptly named in VERY FIRST TIME as he was the very first horse we tried to buy but were outbid by Trevor Hemmings, the horse always looked like being suited to chasing and he is certainly proving that, the ground will certainly suit, bit disappointed that he is only 15/8 though
The other horse is in the 1:25 and NARANJA who has already seen money from an opening 6/1 now 4/1 and has an owner who is doing anything she can to get to the course, Kate Austin will be traveling by train, bus and taxi to get to the course, if I had known earlier I would have given her a lift, I wonder if the horse is trying
