TOP NOTCH should win the feature Betfred Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon but at bigger odds CRAGEELAGH GIRL (3.00) catches the eye in the mares' bumper.
Fergal O'Brien is enjoying a terrific season and Crageelagh Girl was unfortunate not to add to his tally when demoted from first place at Aintree before running third at Cheltenham on very deep ground.
The winner on both occasions was the well-regarded Posh Trish and back on today's better ground Crageelagh Girl can resume winning ways, probably at the expense of favourite Outofthisworld.
Harry Fry's mare created a big impression back in March when easily beating Jane Lamb at Market Rasen. The runner-up has since joined Dan Skelton but could manage only second place at Southwell last month.

Irish bumper winner Dulhallow Gesture cost her new connections £100,000, Diamond Gait beat 17 rivals at Warwick and James Ewart has booked Dicky Johnson for his Kelso winner Strike The Pose. This could turn out to be quite a hot affair.

Crageelagh Girl was trading around 11-4 on the Betfair exchange last night and that has to be the value option given her proven track record in recent weeks. She is usually held up well off the pace and I'll be surprised if Paddy Brennan changes those tactics.

*Recommended Bet

  • Huntingdon (3.0)
  • Crageelagh Girl (9-4, McBookie)

*Meeting cancelled (snow)
