I GOT one wrong and one right with the Manchester clubs in the Champions League last night.
No one predicted United to crash out in Basel but I expected City to beat an under-strength but still to finish third with Napoli winning in Villarreal. It really was a shocker for United and a result that could have serious repercussions at Old Trafford.
The presence of England's top two will boost the profile of the Europa League and William Hill go 20-1 on an all-Manchester final in Bucharest. That could happen if both sides treat the tournament seriously but they will hate the fact they have to play Thursday-Sunday fixtures.
William Hill make Sir Alex Ferguson 5-2 to be no longer United boss on the first day of next season (2-7 still to be in place). And United are 2-5 to win no major trophies this season. United are 1-1 to go further than 8-11 City in the tournament.
Europa League outright (bet365 prices): Man City 11-2, Man Utd 13-2, Atletico Madrid 14-1, Valencia 16-1, Porto, Schalke, Athletic Bilbao 20-1, PSG, Rubin Kazan 22-1, PSV 25-1, Stoke 33-1, Fulham 50-1.
Champions League latest (William Hill prices): Barca 13-8, Real Madrid 5-2, Bayern 6-1, Chelsea 10-1, Arsenal 18-1, 25 AC MIlan, 28-1 Inter Milan, 33-1 Napoli.
Big favour Paul -can you also post your ‘daily record tips’ on saturday please m8?
Don’t want to miss out on anything m8. And last week you also left out the four draws- which I
like every other pick you give I do-
Really looking forward to Saturdays picks, another epic aways would be nice m8, but your well overdue a big bts pick I reckon.
Cheers my m8
Tony, the top tips are the ones that are featured in the Record. I think from next weekend the Record are putting my predictions from every game on their website. And I’ll make sure the draws are in there on Saturday. Both teams to score market has been a little harder, especially in midweek, but here’s hoping
