Thomas Frank has a baptism of fire tonight as the new Spurs boss takes on European champions Paris St-Germain in the Super Cup.
Playing the team who swept all before them in the Champions League knockout stages is as tough it comes when you've inherited a squad that finished fourth bottom of the Premier League last term.
But Frank will take heart from watching Chelsea crush PSG 3-0 in the Club World Cup Final and it will be interesting to see how such an extended season affects the French giants tonight.
Paris St-Germain vs Tottenham Hotspur top betting tips
PSG look a class above a Spurs side still getting used to Frank's style of play so it's no surprise to see them as 4/9 favourites for a win inside 90 minutes.
Frank will have seen how Chelsea managed to unlock Luis Enrique's defence though and PSG have a new keeper, with Gigi Donnarumma left out of the squad as his contract runs down.
Lucas Chevalier will take the giant Italian's place and he will need time to build a bond with his defenders. So I'm going to combine a PSG win with both teams to score and that pays a boosted 7/4 at BoyleSports.
Spurs were always vulnerable in wide areas under former boss Ange Postecoglou and it will be interesting to see how Frank attempts to fix that.
PSG's wingers could still get a bit of joy and I like the 3/1 at BoyleSports for Kvicha Kvaratskheila to provide an assist.
Birmingham City vs Sheffield United
There's a few EFL Cup ties in England tonight and the pick of the first-round games sees Sheffield United head to Birmingham City.
The Blades couldn't have got their Championship season off to a worse start as they were thrashed 4-1 by Bristol City at Bramall Lane.
New boss Ruben Seles will demand a response in the cup but it won't be easy against a Blues side who are still riding the crest of a wave,
After romping to the League One title last term, big-spending Birmingham were only denied a win in their Championship opener by a harsh late penalty as Ipswich escaped with a point.
With the Blades in such a sorry state, the 5/4 available at BoyleSports for a Birmingham win in 90 minutes looks good value, although managers often field weakened teams in this competition.
For a long-odds option, Blues midfielder Tomoki Iwata likes a pop from distance and is 17/2 at Bet365 to score from outside the box.
Huddersfield Town vs Leicester City
Huddersfield Town have made a flying start in League One and now take on Championship side Leicester City in an intriguing EFL Cup tie.
The Terries have won their first two games this season without conceding so this is a potential banana skin for a Foxes side still getting used to new boss Marti Cifuentes' style of play.
Only a late Wout Faes header secured a debut win for Cifuentes against a crisis-torn Sheffield Wednesday side who had been reduced to 10 men.
So Huddersfield should push Leicester close and the half-time draw looks good at 6/5 with BoyleSports.
Leicester won 13 corners in their league opener so I like the evens on offer for over 5.5 Foxes flag kicks tonight.
