Between them they have 20 Champions League / European Cup titles and for both Liverpool and Real Madrid being crowned champions of Europe again looks their best chance of silverware this season.
Both are off the pace in their domestic leagues with the Reds having their work cut out to secure a Champions League place for next season. Of course they'd qualify automatically if they win this season's edition. Despite drawing just about the toughest opponent in the Last-16 Jurgen Klopp's men are still third favourites at 10/1 to lift the trophy.

Napoli hold an incredible 15-point lead in Serie A and are enjoying a phenomenal season domestically and in Europe. Their only defeat in the group stages came thanks to two late goals for Liverpool at Anfield in the final matchday when they'd already secured top spot. At 11/1 to win the Champions League they could be lively outsiders.
They're short-priced favourites at 1/3 to qualify from the Last-16 tie with Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Germans were Europa League winners last season and came through a relatively weak Group which included Spurs, Marseille and Sporting, whom they beat on the final matchday to secure 2nd place.
Despite being sixth in the Bundesliga table they're only five points off the three joint leaders; Bayern, Dortmund and Union Berlin.
Napoli are without doubt the form team in Europe at the moment and would fancy their chances against any side on the continent at the moment. Over the course of two legs Luciano Spalletti should prevail and they look a reasonable price at 23/20 to claim a first leg advantage.

I think it’s great news, anyone who buys Liverpool know they come up against a strong fanbase United are in a different category in that respect as most are outsiders so it’s easier for the arabs etc to buy. Fsg have done wonders for our club since taking over, Stadium expansion and they are expanding it again, they brought trophies back to the club and hired one of the best managers in world football. Jamie Carragher was right in the first place when he said they wont sell they were just wanting to find out what the club is worth and its considerably more than Man Utd.

That’s what everyone thought and what the papers were saying, it looks like they have changed their minds, what we do know is they are going to invest heavily in the squad in the summer and a probable world transfer record in bringing Jude Bellingham (hopefully). Liverpool did buy Gakpo in January but if you look at Chelsea as an example doing business in January isn’t always the best way as players aren’t available or if they are they pay silly prices.

I might be silly but going by United’s share price then that puts yernited at about 3 billion, Fsg were looking for 5 billion, bare in mind Yernited are in a lot of debt their ground is falling apart and their training facilities are outdated, Fsg invested in state of the art training facilities, Stadium expansions and they are in no debt. Any buyer for United would have to clear the debt.
