I MENTIONED on Mr F’s biggest price team tweet on Friday that Clyde looked overpriced at 4-1 away to Stenny and that was the case as they ran out 3-2 winners.
Apart from narrow back-to-back defeats away at two of the league's best sides (Peterhead & Stirling) they’ve won 6 of their last 8 and have found their way under Danny Lennon.
Outside of Peterhead's Rory McAllister they have probably have the best goalscorer in the league in David Goodwilllie. He’s netted 19 this season and has 10 in his last 8 matches – he’s only playing at this level due to his off-field troubles.
Clyde welcome Elgin who have the best home record in the league but are absolutely rotten away. It must anger boss Gav Price who I know from his days in Perth.
It’s not the fact they have only collected 10 of their 40 points away. It’s the manner in which they are getting beat that must be a real concern for him and probably why they’ll maybe just miss out on the play-offs.
They lost their last 7 on the road and have conceded 2 or more in 10 of their last 12 – more recently they have lost 3, 4, 7, 3, and 4 goals and a trip to in-form Clyde isn’t what the doctor ordered.
