NATIONAL League action as Barnet hope to impose more away-day misery on a struggling Havant side.

Barnet v Havant & Waterlooville  (7.45pm)

Having travelled regularly to the south coast of England due to work commitments, I’ve taken in a few Havant matches over the years as they play just up the road from the office so I always keep a look out for their results.

It was a fantastic achievement to win back-to-back promotions to get to the National League, but this is a huge step up in class and it's beginning to show, not least on the road.

They are languishing in 21st place with just 10 points from 12 matches. It was also going to be a tough ask this season but it’s their away form that is a real concern along with their leaky defence (25 goals conceded – worst in the league).

Their 6 away matches are grim viewing – 3-0, 4-3, 3-4, 4-0, 3-2, 1-1 – that’s 18 goals conceded and with 5 of those games seeing 3 or more goals go in.

They head to Barnet who after a shocking start to the season have won 5 of their last 7 with their only defeat coming against high-flying Leyton Orient. They are floating just outside the play-off places and will view this as an excellent opportunity to keep pace with the sides above.

Given how poor H&W have been on the road and how weak they are defensively, I'm taking Barnet to continue their good form and make it another away day loss for the Hampshire club.

  • Barnet to Win
  • (17-20, bet365) (NAP)
  • Over 2.5 match goals
  • (19-20, Marathon Bet)

Livingston Res v Albion Rovers Res (8pm)

We have a real mismatch here – Premiership Livingston are playing  at home to Albion Rovers who despite winning their first two games, will be no match for the SPFL side in this reserve league fixture.

I've been informed Livingston are going full strength again tonight, I say again as they went full strength last week and the week before and recorded resounding 7-1  and 9-0 hammerings.

This Livington side will be made up mostly of first-team players with only 3 Under-20s in the squad. I'm expecting another big win here for Livi.

Limited markets (1-5 for Livi to win) but bet35 are offering bet builder:

  • Livingston half-time/full-time
  • Over 4.5 match  goals
  • 13-5 (Bet365)
