It’s less of a Super Sunday today, more of just a… Sunday.

There’s little to separate Nottingham Forest and Brentford in the league table, just one point in fact, and the bookies can barely separate them. Bet365 have Brentford as marginal favourites at 17/10 versus 7/4 on Forest.
That one looks too close to call but the Championship’s offering looks a bit more tempting. Ipswich nicked a point at the death against Huddersfield yesterday to go top of the table but Leicester can return there with a win at Blackburn.
The Foxes have looked the part for a swift return to the top flight under Enzo Maresca. The only blot on their copybook was a 1-0 reverse at home to Hull but they’ve won all other matches so far.
Rovers lost a seven-goal thriller at Ipswich last week, making it three defeats in four in the league. They bounced back with a fine 5-2 win over Cardiff City in midweek to book a place in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.
But Leicester look well priced to maintain their excellent start to the season with a win at 21/20.
Over in Italy Jose Mourinho has been bemoaning his side’s poor start to the season which sees Roma lie 16th in Serie A but their 13 goals scored – the second highest tally in the league – suggests better things to come. Seven of those were scored against Empoli but Mourinho’s men have scored in every match this season and can start to get things back on track with a win over Frosinone.
Double them up with Atletico Madrid who should be too strong for Cadiz at home. The visitors might be ninth in the table but their nine points have all come against teams below them in the standings.

I think that I have finally heard it all when it comes to bookmakers trying it on.
Yesterdays cowboys were William Hill. Just read the below as a response from a ‘senior supervisor’.
“Hi! It is really unfortunate that the bet for “A Goal In The 1st Half In Each Of Saturday’s 8 English Premier League Matches (8/1)” was settled as a lose. The reason is because we don’t count own Goals a Goal for this market. First Goal made in the first half of WOL v MCI is an Own Goal”
At one point they asked for evidence that there was a goal in the first half and then accused me of wasting their time when I sent them to a CBeebies page on how to count to five. After two hours they finally agreed that this bet was not for “a goal to be scored” but for “a goal” as stated in the title of the bet… They finally paid out as a “gesture of goodwill”… Unreal
William Hill are shocking for that it’s got even worse since the takeover. Those settling the bets don’t know the rules.
I had a player to score anytime and he did as I was watching the game live but they initially refused to pay out and said the traders decision was final, had to send them a link to a video of the goal in the end eventually paid out.
They’ve also paid out on goalscorers when players haven’t scored and voided bets when players played but didn’t score I didn’t complain then though haha

Hi Wark, could I just ask which bookie you’ve used for the bet, as there are subtle differences in how bookies frame what ‘Overs’ means: With Bet 365 ‘Over 5 corners’ means you have to hit 6; with PP ‘Over 4.5 corners’ you need to hit 5 and ‘Over 5.5’ you need to hit 6; with Skybet 5+ Corners means ‘five or over’…
I wish they all offered all markets and they all meant the same thing, but they don’t. Another little ‘trap’ for punters to navigate.

Yeah, both you and I know that mate. I’m only being a bit pedantic, because there might be people on here that may not have noticed the differences of how the bets are ‘expressed’ and might make a mistake putting their corner bets on…Skybet being the ‘outlier’ in this instance. Over 5 with B365 means you need 6 to win your bet. 5+ with Slybet means you only need 5 to win, not 6…do you get what i mean…There are lots of other examples of subtle differences between the way different bookie offer particular bets. I was just letting the inexperienced members on here realise that. Anyway, GL today mate
