Monaco vs Nice (Wednesday, 20:00)
Monaco have put themselves within six points of top spot in Ligue 1 and they will fancy their chances of continuing their excellent run when Nice come calling.
Niko Kovac's crew are the league's form team, having taken maximum points form each of their last five French top-flight tussles.
Nice, meanwhile, are enduring a bit of a rocky patch having won just one of their last seven league matches, losing four in the process.
That does not bode well ahead of a bout with the red-hot Red and Whites, but there is little value in backing the hosts outright at a general 1/2 .
However, we can get some 41/50 (Bet 365) by having a play on the principality club to overcome a -1 start on the Asian Handicap and that makes appeal.
Taking this approach would deliver profit if Monaco win by two or more goals, whilst your stake will be returned if the hosts win by a solitary strike.
Monaco have made the net bulge at least twice in each of their last six Ligue 1 matches, not to mention three of their last five victories have been achieved by a winning margin of two or more goals.
Nice on the other hand have recorded just one clean sheet across their last seven league matches and when digging slightly deeper it can be seen that Adrian Ursea's side failed to shutout their opponents in 15/21 Ligue 1 fixtures this season.
What's more, the Eagles have already lost nine league matches this term and it's worth noting that six of those defeats would have banked profit when applying the above-mentioned betting angle.
With that in mind, coupled with the menacing form of Monaco's deadly strike duo Kevin Volland and Wissam Ben Yedder, I'm more than happy to back the hosts with a -1 start on the Asian Handicap.
