Zenit St Petersburg vs CSKA Moscow (Wednesday 18:00)

TWO of Russia's biggest clubs go toe-to-toe at the Gazprom Arena this midweek as Zenit St Petersburg meet CSKA Moscow.

Both teams have taken maximum points from their opening two Russian Premier League matches but something has to give in this mouthwatering meeting on Wednesday evening.

Sergei's Semak's side secured their second straight league crown last month and they have since made a strong start to their title defence having won their opening two fixtures as well as claiming the Russian Super Cup.

In fact, Zenit have not lost a match since last December – a Champions League defeat at the hands of Benfica – and the Lions have avoided defeat in each of their last 22 Russian top-flight assignments in their own manor.

What's more, the Russian heavyweights have scored two or more goals in 10 of their last 11 league matches and I like the look of a repeat on Wednesday evening at Even-Money with PaddyPower.

Zenit boss Sergei Semak has a wealth of attacking talent at his disposal and it's also worth noting that Zenit's last four league games at the Gazprom Arena have produced over 2.5 match goals.

Indeed, CSKA Moscow have six points on the board and are one of Russia's household names, however, I'm happy to back the hosts to flex their muscles and hit two or more goals in this tussle

CSKA conceded in their last outing when hosting basement boys Tambov and it's worth mentioning that the Lions mauled the men from Moscow 4-0 in the Russian capital just over six weeks ago.

With that in mind, I'm happy to have a play on the reigning champions to score two or more goals in Saint Petersburg this midweek at an eye-catching Even-Money with PaddyPower.
