IT'S the first super Sunday of the new NFL season with a packed 13-match card for fans to feast on.
Title contenders Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots are among the teams launching their campaigns and there will be plenty of tips from Jordan and all the NFL heads.
The US Open tennis reaches its conclusion at Flushing Meadows in New York with defending champ Novak Djokovic the 7-18 favourite at Marathonbet in his battle with Stan Wawrinka, who is 5-2 at Betfair for glory and 1-2 at Ladbrokes to win a set.

Feels like Christmas with the NFL starting up. I can post write ups for these props but more often than not, all angles for rush/receiving/passing yards are usually the same so it would be a bit time consuming writing for all, but I will put a short reasoning.
Eddie Lacy (Green Bay Packers) Over 60.5 Rushing Yards @ 5/6 @ Paddy Power – 3.6 points
The bruising back has shredded the weight he had last season and had some decent gains in his pre season snaps. It will be a grueling game in Jacksonville because of the heat, and time of possession will be key. The Packers have all the receivers ready to go which should open up the run game and are expected to win, and Eddie should get his yards on the ground.
Mike Evans (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) Over 70.5 Receiving Yards @ 5/6 @ Paddy Power – 2.4 points
When I first checked this a few hours ago they were 66.5 so that tells you there is money on over in the market. Tampa will travel to Atlanta for their opener which will be a division game. Atlanta being given the nod but that’s not where I’m interested. Atlanta weren’t the best passing defense last season, and there only upgrade in the secondary in the draft was Safety Keanu Neal who will miss the first 3-4 weeks. Mike Evans is a big bodies receiver much like his teammate Vincent Jackson, and ex Lion Calvin Johnson. He is Winston’s favourite target and should lead Tampa in receptions, yards and TD’s in the receiving game this season.
Zach Ertz (Philadelphia Eagles) Over 47.5 Receiving Yards @ 10/11 @ Skybet – 2.2 points
Much like Virgil Green on Friday, Zach Ertz will be opening as the number 1 Tight End with a rookie QB against the Cleveland Browns. This could be a high scorer with two of the worst projected teams this season going against each other, but the athletic receiver should feature heavily in Carson Wentz’ playbook while he settles into the NFL.
Paddy Power currently have Antonio Brown’s receiving yards at 88.5 @ 5/6. If this hasn’t gone up by the time I wake up then something must be wrong. No Bell, Bryant, Greene or Wheaton, so Brown should get a heavy dosage of the ball even though he’ll have Josh Norman following him all over the field. AB is not somebody to get hot under the collar like Odell Beckham and in my view could run Norman over the park with his routes. I might back this for the Monday game but if it hits three figures I’ll likely leave it.
Odell Beckham (New York Giants) Over 75.5 Receiving Yards @ 11/13 @ Bwin – 5.2 points
This just goes to show how different bookies will price up markets across the season. I already flagged it up the other day with Jonathan Stewart’s rushing yards having a 10 yard difference between them of 54.5 to 64.5, and said how many bets had lost by a yard. He finished with 64…
So here’s a reason you might want a Bwin account for the season. Skybet have this market at 96.5 which is obviously massive. The Cowboys are very short of depth on the defensive line through suspensions and injury and could struggle getting to Eli. If so, that should give him time to find Beckham on multiple occasions. Beckham was one of the top draft picks this year and should have a productive first night on Primetime in Cowboyland.

All bets now winners ovr 3 calgairi cards + a red.
Fs I can’t believe I put this in wrong thread so annoying.
I must admit I am surprised at just how short Green Bay are, my view on them was they should be 20/1 for Super Bowl glory,
Aaron Rogers must be one of the most overrated quarterbacks of all time,
What has he achieved?
And before anyone jumps in and spouts stats to me I am on about what he does for Green Bay in actual silverware not stats,
Yes he has the best passer rating in NFL history blah blah blah,
But he only has one Super Bowl ring to his name which is pretty poor as he has been nowhere near getting another, don’t get me wrong Rogers is an elite quarterback but he has underachieved.
Jordy Nelson is the key to Green Bay’s door, he missed all last season and Green Bay dropped from first in scoring in 2014 to 15th last season,
Jordy Nelson in 2014 had 98 receptions and 13 touchdowns for 1,519 yards but last preseason tore an ACL.
What’s baffling by Green Bay is their decision to release Josh Sitton “wow major mistake”
That decision has seriously weakened the offence.
Jacksonville who are one of my predictions for Super Bowl glory but not my main tip as they could need a bit more time but they are worth a chance at big odds,
Jacksonville have lost at least 11 games in each of the last five seasons and haven’t qualified for the playoffs since 2007,
Quarterback Blake Bortles last season ranked 7th with 4,428 passing yards and 2nd with 35 touchdowns.
His main problem though is interceptions with 18 last season but he has said himself that he has been working hard and hopefully has sorted that out, in his own words he has to “stop passing to the opposition”
With Jacksonville it’s all about how will this young team cope with being so inexperienced and in week one coming up against one of the favourites “even if I don’t think they are” Green Bay still command respect.
Allen Robinson is Blake Bortles go to guy when passing but they need to run the ball well
If Jacksonville run the ball well then they have a serious chance of beating Green Bay but if their running game isn’t there then they are in trouble,
Offensively for Green Bay Eddie Lacy is a main threat but Roy Miller on a going day can stop Lacy, Miller has to step up and be counted today, Lacy last season was overweight but does look fitter this season but I think this Jacksonville defence is going places, Jacksonville are a team that have strengthened defence and I think and hope Lacy will struggle,
This is a game that Green Bay could win by 14 points or a game they could lose but I am with the Young Jags
The Bank will be rocking today
Rodgers Overrated? Each to their own, John. I think the Jags +4.5 is about right.
I did say not by stats but by leading a team which is the quarterbacks job,
With the team Green Bay have had over the years Rogers should have done better in my opinion,
Aaron Roger was made to look ordinary last season without Jordy Nelson
Hi,Jordan.Could’nt agree more about shopping around when betting all things NFL.A yard here or half a point there will decide wether you make a profit or loss over the week/season.Would advise all bettors to have multiple accounts where possible.
Can i ask where you find the betting for the teams points or more bet?
thanks
Was a 2/1 winner and 5/1 loser for me on Thursday night but by look of it I was lucky to come away with anything. I tend to bet on accas and alternative handicaps and anytime scorers to go for larger stake accas with the added risks involved of course. One point I will note is trying to get on point spreads when released on a Wednesday as once the serious money comes spreads drop as does the value. Anyway here’s my accas for today
Tampa +3
San Diego +6.5
Chicago +6 treble pays 5/1
Minnesota -2.5
Green Bay -4.5 double pays 2.5/1
Oakland +5
Baltimore +3.5
Cincinnati +6.5 acca Inc Minnesota and green Bay pays 9/1
Late games Miami +10.5
Detroit + 3 double pays 2.5/1
Anytime scorers late games doug Baldwin (Seattle), Martin Jones (Detroit) Beckham jnr (giants) treble pays 7/1
Early games Longshot accas
First scorer Trixie Peterson, Nelson and aj green pays £300
Same 3 anytime along with Sammy Watkins(buffalo) Hopkins (Houston) cooks (saints) Jones (Atlanta) and k Allen of San Diego for a couple quid as acca pays 75/1
Good luck guys with your bets
Nice one @keef.
Good luck Lee.
All opinions I know but a Rodgers is not overated any other team would love to have him as quarterback .but again only my opinion .on to the games all ml as early season think Houston, Kansas,Seattle,Arizona, will be my acc at 13/8 will try and put an overs bet on later good luck all
I think Rodgers is a very good qb but there is something missing for hopefully he finally cracks it and becomes what he has the skills to be, but yes I’m swap him for tannehill in a heart beat!!!
Last season Aaron Rogers was
15th for passer rating
17th for completions
17th for td’s
25th for yards per game
Aaron Rogers and Green Bay will fail again to get to the super bowl this season
NFL is new to me, so I’ve put a few quid on Jordan and JohnB’s tips (leaving out Jags as already got on the Green Bay anteposts and don’t want to back against them now!)) and have got a special offer £11 a month subscription to skysports added to my talk talk account all ready for this evening. Let’s see what all the fuss is about! Having made 3 pts profit on Virgil Green over 25.5 receiving yards without knowing who Virgil Green was or what a receiving yard was, I thought I’d better learn a little more about the sport if I’m going to follow more tips on it!
NFL Week 1
Eagles +3.5
Seahawks -2.5
Packers @ Jags O38
Treble – 1.02/1 – Bet365
Ps – for what it’s worth I think with the return of Jordy, AR is going to take the packers all the way
MY beloved NY GIANTS v Dallas
5 Giants players to watch
WR VICTOR CRUZ
Hes back. After knee and calf injuries ended his last two seasons, the veteran receiver is primed to play in his first regular-season game since Oct. 12, 2014.
WR STERLING SHEPARD
Odell Beckham Jr. has already launched a Rookie of the Year campaign for Sterling Shepard, the second-round draft choice out of Oklahoma. Dallas will be his first campaign stop.
DE OLIVIER VERNON
Along with defensive tackle Damon Harrison and cornerback Janoris Jenkins, Olivier Vernon headlined the Giants major haul of free agents this offseason. In four seasons with the Dolphins, Vernon recorded 29 sacks, 43 tackles for loss, and 74 quarterback hits.
DE JASON PIERRE-PAUL
After a life-changing year, Jason Pierre-Paul re-signed with the Giants this offseason and had a full summer to prepare for the upcoming campaign. I have unfinished business, JPP said when he returned.
SAFETY LANDON COLLINS
Leaner and more experienced, Collins is looking to take the next step in his career after leading the Giants in tackles as a rookie last season.

strange game this us rugby, the players wear body armour,
they play 4 halfs ?,
the scrum half is allowed to pass the ball forward,
the try scorer doesn’t ground the ball,
and the conversion kicker is substituted after every kick.
cant the yanks get anything right….
